Ericsson held up Kimi and Lewis, he turned right across Kimi at one point. Unlikely to get a penalty as it was a fast lap.

Lewis makes it through to Q3 if we get one.

Rosberg's cake tins off at present.

Anybody know what the rationale is for mechanics wearing open face helmets in the pits? I thought helmets were for fire protection.

Probably the same rationale that had the FIA/MSA make everyone switch to fire resistant helmet linings but let you wear open face helmets...hehe

Does seem weird, added to the fact that the wearing of them seems to be optional, judging by this quali session at any rate.
