Yesterday someone asked me how I thought he would do, I replied it is how long before he crashes

The Max fanclub are emotional, he drove into a wall. It certainly isn't good driving.

Au contraire - it was the best driving into the wall by any driver so far, ever at Monaco, ever.

Was it better than the one where he hit the wall in practice?

Brundle's effort in the 80s was far more effective

Fanclub? That's a bit of a lazy reply. Far from a fanboy at the moment. I think he will be a world champion, but he is a bit whiny. Sainz is also very good, but just a different style. A bit like Hamilton and Button for example. However a cm difference or two between a great lap and crashing is not "very" poor driving IMO, unlike someone like Maldonado who had a lot of very poor driving.

Once again, a commentator says "jinking from side to side to get heat into the tyres"

I thought it had minimal effect at such low speeds, it was more about judging the level of grip available?
