I wonder what Putin makes of Hamilton.
much as we might mock, at least he turns up to his countries race, when was the last time a brit PM turned up at Silverstone?
I think it's great. It shows the importance of these events to Russia.
Playing devils advocate, let's not forget that whenever a British PM goes to a national sports event, be it Wimbledon/FA Cup final/Silverstone, he or she is always flamed for "not being at work" or "on a jolly when people are having thier benefits cut".

Vlad just has such articles/journaliss squashed.

It's only the head tyrants of dodgy nations who turn up at F1 races. Russia, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Monaco.

Now that was an exciting race. I saw it on recording and gradually got within 5 minutes of real life.

Thrilling towards the end. It was building all the way from the pitstops. Great fun.

Well done FI and Serge

Quality drive by Vett, deserving of his second place in the championship

Kimi out of order

Good for Bottas

Shame about Rosberg going out. It could have been a great battle for the lead.

Good race. Circuit is a bit of a curate's egg.

Ecclestone there as Putin was

Putin there to make out he's more or less normal. At least he didn't take his clothes off. I bet he looks down and finds another second for Ferrari.

I think that's what makes the races watchable, it's the potential for race changing events to suddenly happen. You watch golf or basketball or most other sports and one score or missed shot can be made up over the game but some have-a-go-hero manoeuvre in the last lap, suddenly makes the entire race seem exciting.

If you want to vote for Bernie to be Prime Minister you can do, but you might be in the minority.

maybe so, but I bet he would do a better job.

let's face facts, he's got to be one of the world's best negotiator ever.

Last lap of the race and as Senna once said if you don't go for that gap you're no longer a racer or as they say in America: checkers or wreckers.

Where's the media room interviews with the top 3 drivers on sky ?
Pretty sure they used to do it, last few races it's not on.

But there wasn't a gap, he didn't get alongside or close to overtaking. It was the kind of move Maldonado might have attempted, not Senna.
