Anyone here work for a F1 Team??
Discussion
I interviewed at Red Bull for a contract SQL developer a few years back ( 2008 / 2009 ) - the role was basically setting up data retrieval from Cars to Trackside and then Trackside to Base - gutted not to get it.
Then by coincidence I had an agent contact me last week who had a permanent role in Milton Keynes - reasonable salary and offering a Championship win bonus too.

didn't work for a team, but for TV on location for 4 seasons, had a blast, saw the world, stayed in great hotels, some same as the drivers and as i found out, Montreal has the most strip joints of any other city, happy days.
Ha ha, yes there are around 6 within a minute's walk of our regular hotel - and they're just in the middle of the main shopping street, so you have an Apple Store, a strip club, a department store, a strip club, McDonalds, a strip club...Ahonen said:

The Pepsi Bar in Hungary was the place to go when I was travelling. Many a good night was spent in there!!
Its been demolished now from what I'm aware.
Ah Hungary, I have been out of F1 for a while but do the police still turn a blind eye to prostitution during the F1 weekend? Its been demolished now from what I'm aware.
Given they mostly breed models in Hungary and the previous comments about members of the race team "playing away" it was always one of the more popular events on the calendar.

Although lacking in density of said joints when compared to Singapore..... A mate of mine is Bernie's "bagman" Pasquale, unfortunately he is far too discrete to spill the beans about what goes on. Years ago his home ansaphone had a message "Hello this is Pasquale, no I can't get you tickets". He hadn't been in the job long, he started as the liaison with the onboard camera people and the teams.
Doesn't even get any airmiles as he now flies general aviation

I remember Pasquale, I had to stand outside his office like a naughty school boy at my first ever race because I did not yet have a pass to get into the paddock.Doesn't even get any airmiles as he now flies general aviation
On a separate note, "can you get free tickets" is the first thing people normally ask when they find out you work for an F1 team, second is generally "have you driven an F1 car", at least I could genuinely say yes to the latter even if it was a 5MPH for pit stop practice
