So Massa admits to talking with Williams along with a number of teams.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/110829

Does Massa know something others do not.

Is the rumours that Ross Brawn may buy shares in Williams true and that Massa knows this and worked well with Ross at Ferrari so would like to do so again.

Who knows but it makes for interesting chit chat.

Would this see Pastor out the door? Believe Massa brings a few pennies to his team in sponsorship

Whats his 'other half' Rob upto? I did hear a few things mentioned - anything confirmed yet?

Great if this is true by the way. Hope it works out!

I saw some fairly confident comments some weeks ago that Rob is indeed going to Williams

I thought he only wanted to drive for a top team?

You and me both.

As for Williams not being a top team, well, with the rule changes, who knows which team will put them into effect the most efficiently (well, ok, we know that Newey will, but there are other designers who might do quite well)...

Rumour was that Pastor taking the PDVSA money with him to Lotus, being replaced by Massa

I think that one got debunked, I can't see why Ross would buy in.

There are rumours that Van Der Garde's future father in law (who just happens to be a billionaire) was interested in the shares..

That pesky stutter eh Mark smile

Rob is off to Williams, but not as race engineer. Massa to Williams? Possible if PDVSA are happy with another South American in the car I guess!

The usual good stuff from Joe Saward...

http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2013/10/25/the-driv...

Aside from the McLaren part a lot seems to hinge on Lotus getting the money from Quantum (formerly Infinity). If not, expect Maldonado in a Lotus and Massa in a Williams. I would prefer Hulkenburg getting a Lotus seat alongside Grosjean.

Hmmm...Rubens part two!

Williams (a great bunch of people) are doomed- well, they will not be anywhere near the top for a long time.

Still, more than happy to be proved wrong.

Merc engines next year?

Maldonado money + Massa Money.

Bottas to be priced out as The Hulk from Williams a few years ago.

Does Maldonado still have the same support from PDVSA after Chavez croaked?

What would Rob Smedley do at Williams if he's not Race Engineer? Just curious.

There is a bit of a flap going on over in Venezuela at the moment regarding corruption and payments to racing drivers: http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/money/2013/10/19/...
Essentially they've frozen all payments until they have investigated.

Joe Saward is under the impression that PDVSA will follow Maldonado if he moves team but Williams have a clause in the contracts to give them a pay out should that happen.. I wonder if this might have impact on Maldonado moving teams ? http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2013/10/19/what-is-...

It seems that if Lotus pull off the Quantum deal they Hulk will get the seat, if not they want the PDVSA money..

I see that Pat Symonds has gone into print in an Autosport article on Rob's role at Williams...

David Croft has just tweeted:

I understand that Pastor Maldonado has signed for Lotus in the last 24 hours.

Please let that be correct (the bit that he's leaving Williams, don't care where he's going).

I would rather not see him at all next year to be honest.

Not a great signing for Lotus, it is a shame that it is all about the money!
