A friend of my late Dad sent me these today - I guess they were the first motor racing events they attended. Some really nice covers; they’d look good in a frame. Enjoy:

Lucky you. They are very evocative of their eras.

I'd make colour copies of the covers and mount them in frames. I'd like to keep the originals to hand so you could access the contents. The entry lists must make interesting reading - especially of the support races.

What seems amazing is that before 1963, it must have been cheaper to have someone produce colour artwork, rather than just stick a black & white photograph on the cover.

2 shillings was probably quite expensive in the 50s. As Eric says, the contents must also be pretty interesting.

Interesting to see these. I have the '55 Express Trophy cover framed on my wall, signed by Mike Hawthorne. He was dating my mother at the time (well before me...) so it is a nice thing to have. I have a lot of other momentos like that, but all tucked away whilst I build my house so I'll post images when sorted.
