And people say max has matured lmao
He’s not a happy bunny today, a car that’s not working here and a load of traffic on the narrow circuit.

Did Newey pull his secret lever on the car on his way out of the garage? the RB seems all over the place balance wise.

Max getting cross with Lewis fair enough (even tho it was far from the worst block) but I am not sure the swerving about to make his point helps much, more stress in the garage and team having an effect?

I'm not sure they have a particular problem at such. When you have half a second in hand it's easy to get the balance "right enough" and no-one will know it's not perfect; when your competition start to get close, minor misjudgments in setup (or anything else) become far more obvious.

I still think Redbull probably have the fastest car overall, but it's far closer than it was two races ago and that's putting them under pressure.

Well Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, and even Tsunoda in the B Team, have done better this afternoon.

It’ll be awesome if there’s a proper race to be had on Sunday, with several different cars in contention for the win.

They have and I think there is, but to my mind the telling thing is that there's nothing between Perez and Verstappen. If Verstappen had his usual gap over Perez he'd be at, or at least near, the front. I suspect come the race, Verstappen will be up there with the Mclarens and Ferraris. I think Mercedes are perhaps still a bit in no-mans-land between the top three and the rest.

I've always said Max won't be able to handle competition. Let's hope we're seeing the start of the melt down.

My money is on them tweaking the car a bit and Max being fine tomorrow ...

Its an old bumpy circuit with a car that is skittish at the limit + wind. RB have always said it doesn't suit every circuit.

The worry is that they find the round ones hiding at the back of the garage overnight, and end up with a rocket ship tomorrow afternoon that’s half a second up the road from everyone else.

I too hadn't expected Red Bull's move to the midfield to be quite so quick after Newey's departure.

(I expect they'll get their st together overnight and claim pole tomorrow)

Great job by Ferrari, and RB look like they’re going to have up their game without the experience of Newey. So much for a forgone conclusion from all the doom mongers if F1 smile Good yo see gravel traps returning and big kerbs throwing the cars around when drivers get sloppy. It’s a shame the kink was added as it used to be a brilliant high speed turn way back when.

As soon as the sky et al proclaimed "goat" isn't 2 seconds faster than every other car or not 30 seconds up the road he reverts to type.

Should get two penalty points for chopping infront of lewis and braking.

I really hope Karun is right and he takes 26 off because if anyone actually gets close to him he will go back to his usual tactics of forcing drivers wide or you move or we crash.

Hamilton was clearly at fault. Max was having a bad day. Nothing to see here.

yes Hamilton made a small misjudgement and immediately apologised for it. Verstappen was having a difficult day and maybe slightly overreacted... it's not like he side-swiped Hamilton a la Vettel whenever it was. It's a complete non-issue on all sides.

PiP drop me an email, how much is your flights? Maybe we can sort race day.

My main takeaway is we hear next to nothing on TV vs what is on the team radio, Ferrari champagne is very palatable.

I can't believe nobody has yet made a firm plan to accept your spare tickets!!

As for team radio, a lot of us now watch on F1TV and you can hear everything smile

How great is it to see actual gravel traps rather than acres of tarmac runoff with a natural deterrent built in for anyone running wide.

Qualifying will be exciting as they try to push to the limit, one mistake and your session could be over rather than shake it off and try again.
