Hello car lovers!
We are currently looking for contributors to take part in a new motoring show for the Men and Motors Channel called "Top Dog" that we will be filming during February and March!
The idea of the programme is to take 2 iconic cars nor bikes per per show and pit them against each other, then let a panel of experts, the presenters and the owners have a lively, fun debate to decide which of the two cars is "Top Dog"!
If you would like to showcase your pride and joy on television whether it's old or new drop me an email at topdog@daisybeck.tv with details of your car or bike and something you think it could be pitted against. What we're really looking for is enthusiasm so if you think you've got what it takes and you've got the wheels then get in touch today!!!
Likewise if you have ideas for any pairings you would like to see on the show we would love to hear from you!

Surely "Top Dog" should be about the non-motoring content on Men and Motors?

Why are you lot so cynical all the time? My wife had this sort of gip when she was writing for FHM (eg "woman writing about sex? Must be some sad bloke pretending hohoho"). Poor girl's only trying to do her job.

Personally I'd like to see an Audi Quattro (like mine) pitted against an Impreza STi (like my bro in laws). Trouble is we're both crap drivers (well I am anyway) so it would all end in tears.

I can think of a few:
-Lancia Delta Integrale v Audi Quattro Turbo
-TVR Tuscan R v Ferrari 550 Maranello (bargain blaster or are Ferraris just overpriced?)
-Lotus Esprit V8TT v Ferrari 360 Modena v Porsche 911 turbo.

Heard a lot of flak concerning GM&M, that it's basically shallow Lax Power telly featuring kev'd-up Fiestas and soft porn.

We've just been offered a chance to make it better - why slag it off further?

I know I just thought that too - bit pre-sumptious of me. But the name put me in mind of women, I've seen my mrs do exactly that kind of post on other forums and also researchers (in my limited experience) usually are women. If Daisybeck Productions is actually a bloke then I'm sorry.

You'll be needing a Chevy Corvette if you're looking for icons. The C5 can be put up against just about any modern road car that is sold world-wide. If you were looking for a USA car with comparable heritage then I guess Ford Mustang would be the obvious choice. Plenty of contacts available on PH.

Steve, not being funny mate but I thought that article was crap. Nice cars, waste of idea. They didn't do anything in depth at all, it was neither a buyer's guide, a dragrace or anything really. I turned the page thinking there'd be more, but no, that was it.
Kind of cheap television in magazine form.
I hope you got to drive the Lambo, though...

I've spoken to Laura from the production company and they'd particularly like to work with anyone who's got an Aston Martin DB5, a Maserati from the same period, a
Ford Mustang against an early Ford Capri, an AC Cobra, a Lamborghini, a TVR, a Ferrari... etc.
