I remember many years ago (when I was a nipper) my father bought a magazine which had the sounds of a Lambo Countach, Porsche 959, Lister and AM Vantage racing round Brands Hatch. The tape is now unfortunately long gone now but if anybody has this tape kicking around I'm desperate to have it again! I have attached an image of the tape.

Cheers

Do you just want a copy?

I'm sure someone I know has already transferred it to digital format as well

I loved Fast Lane - grew up with that, the photography was ace. If anyone has any old copies they want to get rid of, let me know.

What a kind offer. If you could run me a copy that will be great. I will obviously pay you a fee for your efforts

My dad seems to think the tape was left in a holiday cottage in Brittany around 1992 so if anyone out there found the tape there, it's mine!! lol

Got the magazine, need to see if I have the tape, could play it in the van. smile From memory it was Mark Hales doing the driving and commentary, along with some blonde piece.

The lady was Dilly Barlow from Radio 4.

The year before, for the Sound and Fury tape, it was Beki Adam from Top Gear.

Beki Adam is the one I was thinking off. Looks like she has had a bit of a career change since being a motoring journalist.

Fast Lane, that brings back memories!

Tony Dron was the main man wasn't he?

I think it was his brother, Peter Dron.

Yes, it was Mark Hales. I was with him a few days before and remember him being on the phone trying to get insurance for driving the F40 on track.
He offered me a passenger ride but stupidly I allowed work to stop me going.

I remember, from the tape, Mark doing a slow lap (in the F40) then on the second lap giving it some and the female making a strange noise!
Speaking to him afterwards he said the F40 was a very quick race car let alone road car.

I'd love a copy of the tape if anyone has it - I'd be happy to put it on my website so others could have it as well.
