The energy to convert the water to hydrogen isn't mentioned anywhere in that ad.

If a device was invented that halved fuel consumption whilst increasing power by 18%, you'd defiantly hear about it on EBay first! biggrin

Seems its not a scam as such, but the overall benefits are seen as questionable.

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-efficiency/fuel...

Lets face it if it were a viable opinion would a major manufacturer be up there doing it?

The ad states it will almost double your mpg. It wont. That reads like a scam to me.

AH HA! I too have a device that magically reduces your fuel consumption. It's universal, easy to fit, and can be removed at any time, and it won't affect your cars warranty or servicing schedule in any way.

But what is this incredible device i hear you ask, and how much is it?

Well, to explain its amazing secrets would be foolish of me, but you can buy one from me for just £29.99, that's right, UNDER £30 to at the very least save 25% of the fuel you use!

Here's a picture of the device, installed with just two simple zip ties:

You ALL want one yeah?

I hope you don't offer installation also - the spiky end of the cable ties would hurt my bare feet frown

Sorry, i should have said, the picture is of the "super miser" limited edition version, that is deliberately uncomfortable to press on, and rewards the user with even greater mpg........

Ahhh - thank you for the clarification. Very important.

Tell me, how does this product work in conjunction with my resisters I had installed recently?

Please be very careful when mix-n-matching various hyper efficiency products. In extreme cases this has lead to fires because the engine of your car becomes so efficient it actually creates petrol. As such, if the driver forgets to stop and empty the fuel tank every couple of hundred miles it can overflow and as such, pose a serious fire risk........

Paint it gunmetal grey, add some blue LEDs, and double the price. Then I'll take two.

PLEASE, EVERYONE, AVOID THIS PRODUCT!

The fitting instructions are poor to non-existant, and after me and my Dave from the pub (He's a Pro mechanic, he sweeps the floor at Kwik-Fit) fitted one to my car, to my dismay, I found no reduction to my fuel consumption at all, in fact it increased.
It also made it very difficult to select gears, resulting in grinding noises, Dave says the electronics must have interfered with my gearbox and I may need a new one, and to make it even worse, I also keep getting this horrible burning smell from the clutch whist trying to change gear. It's a con!

Do you have one available for the brake pedal too to help increase the life of my pads and discs?
