Can you identify this car?????

Good morning fellow car nuts,

I have a bit of question for you all today, although originally from the UK I live and work in Dubai and as im sure you all know supercars are a fairly common sight out here.

However last week I cam across the following car and have no idea what it is/used to be, looking at the roof we were thinking maybe some form of 3 series given the shape and quarter window but really have no idea.

Have a look and see if any of you can work it out.....

I dont think it can be anything from the Mini range because it looks too big given the size of the guy.

I'm still 99% sure that door is off some sort of MINI. The door handle looks mini, as does the wing mirror and there's also the chrome trim at the bottom of the window line.
