We've not sold a Focus ST with a discount other than manufacturer finance incentives yet...
If you are meaning the new 2012 Focus ST, then have you had much bother with them yet? hachiroku said:
Hang on a minute, this fwd girly parts bin special is good value at 17k. Not long ago people on here were saying a highly acclaimed 25k bespoke rwd coupe should be 16k. I've just signed my death warrant haven't I. Has ford customer service improved since the old days or something, why the praise?
I very much agree with this. There were quite a number of comments arguing that a brand new rwd coupe, designed from the ground up, shouldn't be more than £20k. And yet the top spec ST-2 costing £17,995 is apparently absolutely fine! Add £995 for the Mountune upgrade and we're near enough to £20k anyway.I've driven a number of Fiesta's, including a recent guppy mouth version in rent-a-car guise, and there's no escaping the fact that it looks and feels rather long in the tooth now. Twelve months down the line we'll see far more of these new city cars so the Fiesta will look even older. I fear that's the elephant in the room that everyone's happy to ignore because we all seem to get misty eyed over 'fast' Fords.

i cant say ive read one review that claims the newly revised fiesta is long in the tooth many cant praise the new one enough its going to continue to be the best small cars in the segment the 1.0 eco boost is only going to help further I've driven a number of Fiesta's, including a recent guppy mouth version in rent-a-car guise, and there's no escaping the fact that it looks and feels rather long in the tooth now. fking hell I thought it was a rip off. But then again I havent bought a car in years, they cost a fking fortune now.
£13k about 5 year ago you could pick up a new ST
I dont think its a patch (look wise on my Fiesta) and to be honest I dont see me trading in my shopping trolley any time soon for one. 150 bhp is all I need to go to asda and back.
Really don't think this new one is a patch on the mk6, yes it has more tech and what not but just look at that mk6, it looks so purposeful compared to the 7 and with AC, trip computer and a decent head unit I can't really think of much more it needs, on a facelift model like mine it doesn't even feel that dated...£13k about 5 year ago you could pick up a new ST

Obviously it's a bit down on power by todays standards but with so many companies continuing to support the car such as Mountune with the 165/185/200 kits you can take it far beyond the new car in terms of performance for less cash.
Going to test drive a mk7 when I get the chance but to me it feels much too fussy, just like the new Focus ST and how many of those have you seen about lately?

Must be why it only managed to be the world's best selling B-segment car in the first three quarters of last year (not the fourth as production stopped for B299s and took a while to shift to the current B299MCA). Other than that, I seem to recall it's been the UK's best selling car since 2009. So quite a few people seem to like it and we're selling them very well still to both repeat and conquest buyers - and at considerably lower discounts than the last of the B299s were going out for.

Isn't the Corsa up there too? Awful thing.Other than that, I seem to recall it's been the UK's best selling car since 2009. manufacturing processes become cheaper, things improve over time design becomes simplified. look at tv's! they are cheap as fk now.
I pointed out I was shocked by how much new cars are now. I really don't see why as they are above inflation in this example.
17000 k in 3007 would cost £15k not the 13k they were selling them new for.
and it's fking £17 k not £16 no wonder sales people put prices at 16,995!

But if you had you'd realise everything you said was ridiculous.

Zwolf have you driven a 125ps 1.0 ecoboost fiesta yet? I'm keen to know what they go like in the real world (rather than book figures). The broad torque spread suggests a pretty nippy car on the road and the fiesta chassis has always been superb. Any NVH issues with the 3 cylinder?
Only the 100PS so far. Overall far superior to the 96PS 1.4 that it replaces and I expect the same of the 120PS that replaces the 1.6. The three is audibly thrummier than the old fours, that now feel unrefined and lacklustre by direct comparison. Just as the 125PS 1.0 compares with the old 1.6i VCT in the Focus. Only negative aspect for me was the 100PS has a very tall top gear, good for noise and economy at speed, bad for effortless performance, as you need to drop to fourth to get to useful grunt, the older shorter geared four pots still had usable torque at admittedly higher rpm.
