I occasionally work with a not quite retired chap in his late 70's who drives a Litchfield fettled Spec C. Apparently the standard one "didn't have enough poke".

That reminds me, some years back, a frequent sight for me locally was an aged old gel driving a Blue Impreza complete with Gold wheels .. the lot. Funny thing was, she always drove hunched close to the steering wheel with her nose almost touching. Remarkable.

Additionally, one or two mature women well past their half century locally driving MGFs. Amusing to see them exiting said cars in the Supermarket car park.

Thank's guys for all the threads,perhaps i won't hang up the spurs quite yet and sell the TVR.

Perhaps i will one day by a Rover75,drive in carpet slippers, hog the middle lane doing 30mph with that fixed stare, but not yet. Bugger the little tossers!!!.

Jealousy is a terrible affliction . I drove into the local square to use the hole in the wall in my Bmw 330 Convertible . Now I ve got 19 ich deep dish alloys, the car is immaculate and at 61 I love it. Anyway , the top was down as it was a beautiful day and of course all the young local puppies were sitting in the square (just as I did myself at 17 ish ) in there 1.0 Corsa s etc , the obligatory drain pipe exhausts and go faster stickers , the usual all noise and no action stuff . As I got out of the car I heard one puppy say to another puppy in the next car to him , " Check the old fart in the Beemer",and they all laughed , so I strolled across , smiled at them, and said, " Look sonny, get it right , its " Check the old fart in the Beemer with the big F***ing SMILE on his face " and walked away laughing .
