It's a bit of banter man , you can't think he really means it ffs ?

Lighten up.

Look I don't want to derail the thread any further but it's clear the OP didn't start the thread for "banter" and as has already been stated most socially functioning people with half a brain wouldn't talk that way in public to the chap. It's all too easy to hide behind "banter" and it's "just the Internet". Shows a total lack of respect and class.

Not really but I don't see why anybody needs to keep making pathetic innuendo laden "jokes" about another man's wife.
This isn't the 1950s, they'll probably be divorced in a few years.

On topic I can relate to the OP, I hate it when I look behind me and see a dark German approaching my rear end at speed.

The lesson here is simple.

Whatever happens on the road, even if it makes you insensible - don't come on PH and expect sympathy or empathy. This place is riddled with droves of miserable, negative, pathetic, bellends who cannot wait to pounce on your misery / frustration and make you feel worse or prove they know best. The majority of which I suspect only identify themselves as 'a car guy' because they have owned the same heap of st with four cylinders for ten years and know how to change a lightbulb. You will note the tacit jealousy or undercurrent of scorn in almost every topic and post on here.

Ironically when met in person these people usually have very little to say at all (which is why they are posting their relentless horsest on the internet).

Unless you like games of one-upmanship or to be provoked into a maddening rage, just stash it. Like most forums they are dominated by middle class keyboard warriors who think their opinion makes them the next Jesus Christ.

Couldn't agree more.

Taking one point I particular isn't it interesting how the banter brigade on this thread and others don't reveal anything about their car ownership or themselves ?

The various manufacturer based fora I am active on rarely if ever display the pack mentality you reference and is witnessed on this thread, i'm not sure why it's so prevalent on PH.

A lot of Audi drivers tend to be tts that seem to take fancy to ramming other people's wife's.

I'm up and down this road daily, will keep an eye out, can't say I've noticed any particularly bellend-ish Audi driving (apart from the usual obviously!)

I don't really understand the point you're trying to make, should everyone end their replies with their current car, ownership history, and a short personal bio from their match.com profile?

The irony here is strong, you've posted a wall of miserable, boring scorn in response to people making harmless slapstick jokes that anyone in the real world would surely brush off as 'the Internet'. I'd recommend a dose of manning up and stop being such a sensitive snowflake.

PS I'd say a Golf R lease would fit the stereotype better.

No

There's a profile page for every member of this forum - in my experience and as hinted at in earlier post from another poster the banter merchants and thread bully/scorn pourers tend not to have these completed.

It's almost as if the anonymity allows them to behave in a way they are incapable of doing in real life.

Wow, I didn't expect the nobhead brigade to rise to that one quite so quickly. Congratulations on proving me correct, and in record time. You utter arse.

Still not grasping your point. Do you want to retort by laughing at what car they own?

There's already a thread running for this type of rant -

No need to get all dramatic and start this in the first place.
