There are currently around 140 Yaris GRs for sale on Autotrader. Does that not strike anyone as quite a lot, given that this was originally a high-demand/halo product?
Are we seeing the signs of people who were speculating on values against cheap finances deals trying to get out?
No, not really. Are we seeing the signs of people who were speculating on values against cheap finances deals trying to get out?
There will be people who bought one, have had their fun and are now moving on.
Typical ownership of a car is probably 3 years. I'd imagine for performance cars its often notably less.

According to The Intercooler there are 300 coming to the UK.
It's going to be another mental rush when the order books open.
So if this is correct very much like the FL5 CTR. Limited numbers, likely a lot higher list price and less subsidy on the PCP rate. As said earlier, I wouldn’t be surprised if the finance payment/month is double the current generation GRY.It's going to be another mental rush when the order books open.

But then if all original owners (I'm one of them) took up all the allocation for the MK2, then those who missed out on the MK1 won't stand a chance of getting a MK2 either. Not really fair on them is it.
If you really want a MK2 get onto your dealer now and place a deposit.
Isn't that exactly how brand loyalty is supposed to work?If you really want a MK2 get onto your dealer now and place a deposit.
Anyway placing a deposit is a moot point, I tried that this morning and it seems to be the same kind of online nonsense as the GR86 unfortunately.

Lots of cars for sale...must have right now attitudes but can't afford to buy one outright ...people moaning about waiting times, save-up you pennies like people had to do in the past and get you dream car.Are we seeing the signs of people who were speculating on values against cheap finances deals trying to get out?
I think you’d have a hard job arguing that the cars for sale are only so because people can’t afford them - plenty of owners also have a Supercar, or several, and it’s just a fun daily or track toy. As with all toys, some people move on once they have had some fun.

That was an average buying experience, I was told I'd be informed of all stages through the build process and when it was on the ship etc. Did i hell, just got an email saying it's now at the dealers and then when i went to pick it up it wouldn't start as a relay had gone and i had to go home carless.

I know petrolheads probably shouldn't care about the dashboard, but it looks disgusting to me the pre facelift model wasn't anything special admittedly but this one, as someone else says, looks like it was lifted out of a van. I'm sure it'll function just fine but I do prefer to not hate what I'm looking at inside the car when you aren't tear arsing up country roads.
I really like the GR Yaris Mk1 but didn’t love it. Highly competent and grippy but lacking fun and seat position little to high for me.
Sounds like all the improvements are spot on. Having an Auto pushes it right up my list for the next car if I decide to change as the wife can take the big family car.
Will imagine used prices on Mk1s will fall which might make a nice used bargain!

Where is the equivalent offering from Ford, VW, Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Nissan, Renault, Seat, etc etc - oh there isn’t one. Toyota are probably the only mass market manufacturer (ok maybe we can also include Hyundai) still catering for the motorsport/semi affordable sporting car enthusiasts, and all of us should be thankful for that.
I will probably pass as i have an early mk1 GRY which i am really fond of, and no need to be greedy or wasteful ordering another. Great cars from a great company.
