Why pay Porsche-sized repair bills for fast Ford performance?
Because Ford don't make a flat 6 rear engined coupe. When the planets align and you find yourself on a nice piece of road without traffic there's nothing like threading it all together. Sure, you could go faster and for cheaper, but there's something about them.

great to look at, a total snoozefest to drive (sadly)kchika said:
Why is that? Care to elaborate? I've always thought the 993TT was one of the best 911s that a "purist" would want (looks good too). Then again, I don't know anything about 993s other than they're the last air-cooled 911.
Depends what you want/mean by 'pure'. It's a very capable car. Far, far easier to drive than the 993 RS I'd just sold at the time - point it down a road and you'd be well into three figures in no time at all, turn the wheel, go round the corner, straighten up and drop the hammer again. The problem was it was the car that was doing it all and not me.
I just got bored with that, and the fact that I could easily get well beyond my limits and not even get near the edge of those of the car. I reckon I could have had a very big off in it.

Those wheels are a bit special Bound to divide opinions, but I am definitely on the "will lose a testicle for ownership" side.

Those wheels are a bit special Also, something they all have in common is the way in which the waffle plate is fixed to the wheel, by the central nut, these wheels have the waffle fixed by a fixing screw, I also believe the rim is etched with 'OZ Racing'(or similar).

Olly: E46 M3 or B3, E9x 330/335 i/d with change in lieu of a warranty that will probably stop paying out at £1k anyway.
Or a Focus ST/recent Froggy hothatch with a year or two of manufacturer warranty to rinse if need be.
135is are still out of reach of £12k I think. M or ALPINA Roadster could be of interest. Alternatively...
...Breadvan.

You are correct, there are many different versions of the BBS RS wheels, but the basket weave looks wrong on these to be RS's.

Should have watched the vid - you're right, OZ Racing and I didn't spot the screw on those picsAlso, something they all have in common is the way in which the waffle plate is fixed to the wheel, by the central nut, these wheels have the waffle fixed by a fixing screw, I also believe the rim is etched with 'OZ Racing'(or similar).
