Hilarious ad, a great laugh for all without upsetting anyone, we didn't need to contact the owner.

So let me get this right:

Guy tries to sell his car, obviously one he is proud of and inadvertently includes a picture of his girlfriend / wife in the background.

We amuse ourselves at a) the state of the car and b) the state of his other half.

We then send him a link to this thread.

We then amuse ourselves some more at his edit to his listing.

Seems pretty shabby to me.
- I just did the Photoshopping. I got no part in anything else.

Just noticed this on the ad:

Safety Features Alarm, Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS), Driver Airbag, Immobiliser, Passenger Airbag, Xenon headlights
Colour FERRARI RED

Xenons? I think not and 'Ferrari' Red!

If you are lying about the car in an advert, is it fraud?

If not, is it still wrong?

Absolutely. Anyone who sent the chap abuse should be ashamed.

What's done is done. We've give him plenty of free publicity. That little MG has had it's five minutes of fame, and his misses will probably pop into Matalan, buy herself some new threads and do something with her hair and face.

Every cloud....

Some of you have invited him to this thread so he can receive more abuse? That's pathetic.

What's that? Ah the sound of gnashing teeth.

If anyone got in touch to abuse the fella then it isn't on, but alerting him to the thread is pathetic in what way exactly? The guys obviously a car enthusiast (albeit one with horrific taste) but if someone were discussing my car on the Internet I'd like to know.

As for the rest of the thread, well someone's got a st car & people took the piss. It happens.

Personally, if that was my car, I would thank PH for the free advertising. Assuming he has a sense of humour then he should laugh it off...I know I certainly would. I have more to worry about that some strangers taking the piss out of a car I own. And, lets face it, calling it a Ferrari is only going to attract attention.

Pathetic in this way, like I said. Don't pretend you were trying to do the guy a favour.

Well, he sold it for £50 less than he was asking so perhaps he's had the last laugh.
