No
No
Definitely No!!!! Now we're going to have someone come along and say everyone loves a Holden HSV.
I take it you are not a true petrolhead saying "definitely no" to the Monaro. Go and have a drive of one and then come back and tell us how much better it is than your Civic and Citroen wink
It's a big barge with a V8. woo hoo.

I haven't driven one and, undoubtedly, it'd be faster than most Civics or Citroens (unless bends were involved), but I wouldn't want one, personally.

Although, I wouldn't say I hate it. Really, it just doesn't even figure on my radar.

M
It ticks all the traditional PH boxes though: It's got a V8 that sounds nice, it goes fast in a straight line, and it's made by a company that'll keep the reverse snobs happy. It's ideal for PH! Handling? Corners? You'll be needing a different forum wink

Generally PH has lots of love for the 911. Of any type. Check back through the articles that appear in 'News' and see how many are pork related.

I think that given 'car' is a broad church, you'd find lots that aren't disliked by many. Lots of examples of race cars for starters. Anyone hate that Matra V12 of the other day's 'time for tea?'. Heathen if you did!!

Hippy crap. A prius of the 1980s. Driven by right-on hippies who thought they were saving the planet.

Hating a 2CV is a bit like hating quadriplegic puppy. Yes, it may be utterly pathetic and only capable of moving under its own steam in the most exceptional of circumstances (the only car I've ever seen have to turn around and reverse up a hill because it couldn't make up it up forwards) but at least it tries. biggrin

And yet a Renault 4 is simply wonderful.

This thread is futile - you can't please everyone (and why would you want to try?). Certain posters on here hating something is generally an indication that it's great.

Good choice, apart from a bit harmless banter, there's no real reason to hate it.

Thanks, some great suggestions. I think the reason why we haven't really come to a consensus is because some people (myself included) are assuming that other people won't like a certain car because of xyz. There are several cars that have been mentioned that people haven't actually said they dislike but think others may dislike because it lacks class/is too brash etc etc. A car that is universally liked is actually probably more likely to be something humble like a Fiesta, which is totally fit for purpose rather than something exotic i.e. some people prefer Ferraris to Lamborghinis and vice versa. Of the cars mentioned in the OP, the only ones that people have actually said that they dislike are the MR2, NSX and Focus.

How about some cheap 1970s Italian rubbish?!

Not me, can't stand them.
(Actually that's a little bit harsh as I just don't care for them at all, they're just "Meh").

Yeah, I'm with you. But that is the reason I used the word 'generally'. I guess I've never actually driven one so I could be converted, but I can't really get over the image.

I don't think I've heard (well, read) any hate for the F355? generally seems regarded as the last truly beautiful Ferrari. Could be wrong mind.

Sorry, but I don't get the 'beautiful' thing with them. *hides*. To me they're all straight lines and slightly uncomfortable angles.
Certainly don't 'hate' them, but just indifference.

I like the 355 but I drove one once (on track) and it wasn't as amazing as I thought it might be. Although I'm pretty indifferent about the looks of the 360 Modena in general, for some reason the Challenge Stradale is my favourite modern Ferrari.

I guess I'm cold hearted then. Hideously ugly, no power, weak, and as previously stated, made popular with people who think they are saving the planet!
