It's like an Italian Mini Cooper wink
Are these really any good?

I drove one very briefly a few years back and came away really unimpressed by the harshness of the ride. I ended up in a MINI instead. Should I have given it more of a chance?
Only driven the standard Panda and I have to say they are one of the best cars I have driven.....for what they are. From what I've read the 100HP gets under your skin and the harsh ride is part of its character (although obvs has its downsides). Think of it like an enthusiastic puppy.

I want one.

Conversely (ish) if I was buying a Panda I'd get the standard one. Cheap and cheerful utilitarian motoring, with an engine that thrives on being bounced off the limiter right up until the point it goes bang.

Similar with MINIs really - I found my standard Cooper far more enjoyable 90% of the time than its pumped up JCW sibling that followed it.

I agree with the 'ish' as a 1.2 Active is a fantastic lil' thing.

My better half has a little 1.2 panda,I think it's the 2012 model, and I love driving it, no power to speak of but you can thrash the nuts off it, just so much fun. I get more pleasure driving it than I do from my v8 barge, admittedly it is one of the more boring barges that I have.

Strangely, I was having a conversation last night about what might be required to make a 100HP 4x4. We decided that the easiest method was to add the prop and back end to a 100HP, as that would only require a hammer to fit.

In principle I like them a lot, but have yet to helm one.

Talking of ARDS licences, I suspect that I'm not going to have time to race much this year, however I'm pretty determined to do at least one of the longer (6hr+) races, for which I'll need a couple of other drivers. Expect auditions to start around May. JC, I'm looking at you. Loon, bring a cushion.

I've droned on about them before but in my experience an absolute digital throttled riot with a nice grippy eager front end and a skippy back.
