THIS S-class from 2009 has nearly 400,000 miles nuts

And doesn't look too bad, through terrible images - still, 80,000 miles/year...

In a similar vein...

2008 A8, 349k miles.

Pictures aren't great, but it looks good.

Over 1k miles a week!

Really like the look of this car, as a runabout but the mileage is scaring me. Shed some light on it please.

Seems expensive for a 10 year old 150k mile diesel hatchback but does seem to be the going rate - personally wouldn't touch it mostly due to the dealer's name hehe

Nothing wrong with it essentially. Check cam-belt, it might have been done at 70k and therefore be up again. Other than that, duel mass flywheel can go, DPF-filter? Anything can go wrong, but its quite tidy, and 150k miles as a number wouldnt scare me. Pug 306 ran far beyond that, and an A4 has just passed 190k miles.

That has to be one its way to being properly shagged by now. Even for a van thats a lot of miles and its been worked hard.
Make a great camper van! smile

Just Serviced at 395,000 Miles
To most mere mortals, 12,000 miles means it's due another! hehe

Would you pay £3500 for either of those though?

I was given a 190k mile A6 for free, it was pretty unreliable but I put up with it because it was free - if I'd paid £3500 for it I'd have been pretty depressed

Wow, don't see many high mileage 10 year old Maybachs for sale but I had no idea it'd still be worth £65k!

Those wheels are awful though (, innit)

Wait, what? 163k on a limo is _nothing_ especially with the engines they have. I was expecting 400k+

Wouldn't pay 65k though!

Most of them currently listed on PH have extremely low mileage - it's not like an S class used to take people to and from the airport 24/7...

I really can't get on with the looks of those Maybachs. It reminds me of the bd offspring of an S Class and a Rover 75. Admittedly I'm not the target market though (and even if I was, there are so so so many better vehicles to spend £65k on)...

I know it's a van rather than a car, but 470k in 4 years in still pretty impressive!

With all that insulation surely it would make a cracking camper - if it doesn't stink of fish.
