I asked this a few pages back, but you must have missed it!

Is your car the one from OPC Leicester (can't be many orange ones for sale)
There were two orange ones that I could find, both in Leicester. One at Tollbar and one at the OPC. I went for the OPC one despite having more miles due to the fact that I could get a two year warranty on it. Leicester brought the car down to Mid Sussex OPC and I got it from there.

Have to admit that I am loving the orange
I saw the one in Leicester a few weeks back and thought it looked good in the metal.
I think another PH'er used to have an orange one (now has a 997GT2)

Very nice 934 up for auction earlier this year. Unbelievably this is the best pic I have of it.

Jag, and no...

it became a mazda
I'm not sure I agree. My very limited understanding is that the above photo is an XJR12 - the last of the V12 cars. I think that particular car is the one which Karun Chandhok piloted at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car which spawned the Mazda was actually the later, atmo XJR14. After the 1991 season, a couple of the 14s were converted to run the Judd MV10 engine. This was known as the MXR-1. The earlier, rotary, Mazda Group C cars had nothing to do with the TWR Jaguars - to the best of my knowledge.

What the hell is 'Storm silver'? Storms are grey and black aren't they? Or are they thinking grey storm clouds twinkling with rain....I get it...I'll shut up now

If I hadn't a company car, I would be bimbling around in an Electric Orange Focus ST.

Life's too short to let decisions about things like car colour be dictated by what other people think.
This

Laugh all you want, but this was an aspirational vehicle for me. I come from a less than privelidged background and it was and acheivable target.

When it first came out I decided I wanted one, when I was finally in the financial position to afford and run one I was torn by the colour. I wanted the orange one, but would black/white be easier to live with? In the end I thought 'in for a penny, in for a pound' and got the colour I wanted. I have no intention lf ever selling the car so didn't have to worry about resale.

On the whole the response have been positive. The negative comments I get are more about the mpg than the color, and these tend to be from bores who view there car as another consumable tool, normally a 5 door silver diesel of some description, and I literally couldn't value there opinion less. The ones that really make me laugh are the company car owners with generic-o-rama audi/bmws.

Problems?

After a review on top gear everyone assumes a benefit seeking scumbag is driving.

Very few people will give way

Your driving better be flawless, because the slightest indiscretion will be responded to with "look at that prick in the orange sports car"

Prepare for endless mid life crisis jokes

matching paint is a bh for scrapes and stone chips.
Don't apologise for it, that's an awesome car, well done!

Orange is the best colour, my old Exige.

I know that stormy22 didn't mean it as disrespect... but my god.. if you said you'd spec one in orange, everyone would think you were nuts or an attention seeker. However, once you've done it (like a BMW 1M or Jaguar F Type earlier in this thread), you're unlikely to regret it and it actually (and unexpectedly) looks downright brilliant. biggrinthumbup

I'm quite proud pf posting this while quite drunk and hopefully making sense!

That, I could understand.....but for that purpose. Doing the weekly shop at Tesco in a standard looking 'orange' SUV/4x4 I would personally think "No!, ....just No!! WHY? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" or something less polite LOL

Yeah thats mine. have a few more pics in that style. Canon400d with some saturation/contrast adjustment. Just had the CP320 pack and RS clutch installed too. Absolute animal!
Off topic, but how do you find the RS clutch? I've broken my promise not to mod my ST and I'm getting to the point where I may need to get one fitted.

ETA: mine is Performance Blue though (not that it makes a difference to the clutch wink )
