Hi
I have been following this thread for awhile,
While yes a couple of comments seem to be from people that know what they r talking about.
But the rest just seems to be pure and utter trash.

How many people on here can say they built a car from scratch themselves?????
Nobody???

As from wat I've seen this Nick lad has done everything himself and is not a car builder by profession.
And done a fair gud job. Is the whole idea of forums not to help each other out where possible??
Instead it seems like people are just looking to slate someone because they didn't think of the idea and probably wouldn't even know where to start by themselves.

As I said before for a 1 man job he's done a great job on the car
Nick Truman well done I hope the sale goes well for u
And to build it from the ground up is a great achievement.

what a strange first post.
For your information I have an apprenticeship in vehicle building and 35 years of experience what is your qualification to say most of the posters talk rubbish.
Why don't you buy it if you are so impressed.
I don't think there have been personal remarks its all been very tongue in cheek until now that is

So it's styled to look like a Zonda (ish) and you've called it a Zonda I. But it's not a Zonda replica? What is it then? A blatant copyright naming infringement?
Yawn,

The Zonda is a dry wind (often carrying dust) which comes from the polar maritime air, warmed by descent from the crest, which is approximately 6,000 m (20,000 ft) above sea level. It may exceed a velocity of 40 km/h (25 mph).
Sorry but this is bks. You're on a car forum, it's a car, you're selling a car that shows all the signs of a Pagani Zonda. And stop copying from wikipedia to prove a ridiculous point http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zonda_wind

"See also[edit]
Zonda Department, a department of the province of San Juan, Argentina.
Pagani Zonda, a hypercar which takes its name from the wind.
Puelche wind"

This is getting rather stupid and you're not helping your cause by calling people dheads either. Rise above it and be grown up? And it is a trademark of Pagani when used in context of a car.

If you can't take criticism (in all its forms) I'd suggest you stop reading the posts and move on.

Hi John
At least u have ur name up is there an issue r are people afraid to use there names on forums.
That's gud that you have an apprenticeship in vehicle building and 35yrs experience then u should agree. For someone's to do this build from the ground up is a great job without 10 yrs experience, would u have done a build from scratch?

As for my experience run my own garage and repair shop here in Ireland and have done for the last 12 yrs,
Like u said its all about banter but it seems to be abit much when people start taking the piss

Dan, if you care to scan the forums on here you will find a number of scratch built projects by non professional builders that would put many a professional builder to shame. Most on here are not having a go at the obvious effort that has gone into this project but purely the quality of the work that has been done.

Nick is obviously feeling "got at" that his efforts have received such bad reviews. His reactions will only inflame others as most people on here can’t understand why he does not see what everyone else excluding you does.

You are right a lot of people would not know where to start a project like this, maybe they realise their own limitations. But Nick has built a car in an age where virtually everything you need to know to put a project like this together to a decent standard is available at the click of a button but has still produced a car that to be honest looks just plain dangerous and is unlikely to ever be certified as road legal

Many people on this forum know each other in person and have met up at numerous events, so they aren't just faceless Internet personas.

I personally know quite a few people off here.

There are however, many reasons why people would not wish to use their real names on a forum, and rightly so.

Hi John,

At least you have your name up, is there an issue with people using their own names on forums, are they afraid?
It is good that you have 35 years experience, with your experience you should agree with me. For somebody without 10 years experience, it is a great build. What have you built from scratch?

I run a repair shop in Ireland and have done for 12 years. Like you said it's all about banter but it's a bit excessive when they start taking the piss.
