pilot super sports - Still the tyre to go for?

So in conclusion are the super sports still the best all round tyres? Will be looking to change in a few months. The ISF has Goodyear Eagle F1s on the back and they are just spinning up in anything other than relatively warm and dry weather when I get on the throttle. Granted the temps aren't great at the moment and I've moved from an awd car with less power but I expected better performance from the Goodyears.
I have the PSS's on my M135i and the F1's on my S2000The PSS's are a revelation, they coped with the snow last week no issue.

The new Conti's are giving them a run, but I'm not convinced the wear is sorted.
How quickly do they seem to be wearing in comparison to the PSS? I guess it's not a huge issue as I average 10k a year and will most likely be running a set of winters from November through to March. But then it is a very powerful FWD car which is likely driven hard, so I'm not sure many fronts would last into 5 figure milage.

The PSS would be one of the worst summer tyres for snow performance, so the fact you managed to cope is likely nothing to do with the tyre!
Not sure what you are getting at there?I've had 4 sets of PSS's on two powerful RWD cars, I've had 3 sets of F1's on S2000's and also have a set of P Zeros on an another powerful RWD.
The PSS's on the M135i have copes far better than the F1's or P Zeros in ANY poor conditions.

Continental are a close second though.

They're great tyres, but a directional summer with a high land/sea ratio such as the Uniroyal Rainsport 2 would out perform the MPSS in snow.

As I suspected, Conti have certainly upped their game. The latest Autobild test has the SC6 beating the MPSS in both wet AND dry!http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2016-AutoBild...

'The other 1% is on a dry track where the Pilot Super Sport would outperform the Pilot Sport 4 by a couple of tenths of a second around a long track'
Despite saying that, is it not essentially admitting that the Super Sport is still the more performance-oriented tyre?
Correct, which is why there's a modified N rated version and a replacement for the Super Sport coming.Despite saying that, is it not essentially admitting that the Super Sport is still the more performance-oriented tyre?

So I'm confused.Despite saying that, is it not essentially admitting that the Super Sport is still the more performance-oriented tyre?
Performed PS4 vs PSS which is a better tyre?

Would have gone for the SC6 if it were available in 18" but I'm not regretting the PS4s. Michelin have pulled a blinder again.
Having major problems finding PSS in:
245/30 ZR21 (91Y)
265/30 ZR21 (91Y)
Called Michelin early December and was told they are on a 6-8 week lead time. Put on a order in with my garage and called last week and was told its still 8-10 weeks from now. Only option currently is Vredestein Ultrac Vorti R. I would like to try the Continental SportContact 6 but also having a hard time finding them in the UK.

The front PSS are available in Germany, and the rears are available in the SC6 tyre. Typical!245/30 ZR21 (91Y)
