About a week before Christmas 2005, me and the (now ex) Mrs UncleRic had been out all day buying presents.
I was in a foul mood and was acting like a total bd and so as soon as we got home she left to go and see her parents.

A minute or two later my phone rings and a few seconds after that I'm running down the road in my bare feet.

She had a slight headache from hitting the steering wheel as the airbag decided it wasn't needed in this instance.

I still feel guilty, even after 5 years.

What happens when a doddery old woman (who couldn't even walk without the aid of 2 sticks) gets "confused between the brake and the accelerator" and ploughs into the back of my stationary car, in turn spinning her rear end into the oncoming SAAB.

The police attended but declined to prosecute... I'd lay a chunk of money that if it had been a 17 year old lad he'd have been prosecuted with no question. I actually officially complained about the double standards at the time.

Scarcely a year later and it's the turn of the Impreza to be rear ended by someone with an inability to obey a 30 limit.... late for a wedding apparently. I was starting to think that parking outside my house was cursed!

All in all, I lived in that house for 5 years and my cars got hit 4 times.

Some 22 years ago now but I will never forget that you cannot get a Fiesta in a Mini without opening the door.

This is a repost (but I've seen some of these other crash pics before too). The tree was barely scratched! 18 hours unconcious, 4 days in hospital and glass emerging from various parts of my body for months after was the result of this. Noone but the (foolish) driver involved. Pity they never made a Alfa 145 Cabrio, on the basis of my prototype I reckon it would have been a decent looking motor! smile
I genuinely don't know how you survived that...

How fast were you going?

It's at Land Rover's Eastnor Castle facility. Took a bum steer trying to RV with a group and ended up in the deep water testing facility. Unfortunately the Freelander driver had to abandon ship. The Range Rover hydraulic locked the engine.
