Had the roof down yesterday & got informed by some spotty teenager on a moped that 'it's too cold for that!' - he understood after I'd explained that my car has a better heater than his little bike.

unfortunately, I cant get the roof off as the vinyl has stiffened up in the cold. Once Ive warmed it up the hood is coming off and being stored - I now have a tin top for wet days.

Hopefully heading to the midland breakfast club on sunday sans roof

Took my Crossblade out in the little dusting we had overnight. Was very very cold, I knew I should've worn my helmet.

Pics aren't great as with gloves on all I could manage was 'auto' and 'press'.

I drove as far as I could before getting stuck. Tried to get up that hill, no chance. Had to do a donut in the road to turn round biggrin

A Police Freelander came past, stopped, wound down the window, they gave me a 'are you friggin mental' look, asked if I was ok then crawled off shaking their heads!

This was the hill that finally proved too much.

View over the vale of York.

Yuk. Made my own ice rink on the drive when I got home by washing it all off too.

Can't remember the last time I had my roof up!

First pic shows me and a mate last Christmas. Great drive to a local stables on some very cold and slippery roads near Shrewsbury.

Replaced that Boxster with this one below - my only car but don't get chance to use it much - so whenever I do it's for some great drives. Roof down so I can hear the sports exhaust! This pic was from the weekend before - escaping the snow in Cornwall for a 200 mile round trip across the Moors - fantastic day! You can't beat a soft top!

How do you make two posts on the same thread in two days that are exactly the same?

I have no idea!?

Its like the time I time travelled and could post on peoples threads before the Original post was made.

Okay I know it's my own stupid fault but this thread makes me frown cos my lil open top bit of fun is still in hospital after this

The heater is brilliant so I can't see how cold is an excuse not to drive without a roof! Driven her in the pouring rain at night with the top off and we couldn't stop laughing biggrin

Jesus.

The only problem I'm discovering so far with open top motoring is the fact that it is so bloody addictive biggrin

Taken this morning, -10 on the way back from work, took a rather nice cross country route as opposed to the usual A-road slog.
