What connection is there to 'pops and bangs' in that though.
Well I guess you could say that pops and bangs will create extra pressure in the exhaust system placing more stress on each component or existing weakness which makes it more likely to fail and maybe drop off.

The cars in this thread are done by car enthusiasts, and i personally think they stance their cars to be different from the rest, to have their own stamp on it.
So they make their cars different from the rest by making them look like every other stupidly lowered car? How does that work?

I need you to expand on that. Matters concerning speed could well be Brake's motto. Speed can be fast or slow but if you are complaining about the cars that are slower being unwanted then surely you are after ultimate speed?
Try to consider it as relating to driving pleasure then if that helps.

Wow. So in an open forum you have stated that a) You know of cars where the tyres scrub the bodywork and b) you don't see how this is a problem.

The fact that you clearly don't see a problem with this pretty much proves why this thread has so many people questioning the safety of the scene.

Here's a little technical point for you - tyres do not nearly fail. They don't fail a bit. When a tyre is being abraded by the bodywork it will continue to work until it will suddenly let go and fail catastrophically. Cars then crash and people potentially die, including innocent bystanders or kids on school buses etc that are in the wrong place at the right time.

When you travel in a car that has tyre rubbing on the bodywork, you are playing Russian roulette, not just with your life but also with mine. I have a problem with this.

You may have the innocence of youth on your side and the sense that everyone and everything is immortal. But your position is indefensible.

If you are representative of the "scene" then all you have done is confirm the notion that it is full of stupid people in a state of denial and that , sadly, a relatively small percentage of the cars that have been stanced have had the time and money spent on them on stuff like adjustable suspension to make them safe,

So well done. If you are here to champion the stance scene, you just had an "epic fail" and confirmed everyone's worst opinions. Good job.
RB Will _ give up before the hole you are digging gets any deeper.

really?? how does that work... here's an explanation for you..."different from the rest" means different from stock...different from the mass majority of people that buy cars as a means to an end, whose only reckless thought is to tick red instead of silver.... a modified car is modified from OEM, from off the shelf.
That someone likes the look of someone elses modified car and uses aspects of it to enhance/change/detract their own is not 'new', or necessarily unique but it willo stand out and that's the end game.
To an extent every car off a production line is unique by the very nature of the options lists and spec available....but it's all done by the factory...to modify is to do the work yourself and/or to utilise specialist outfits to do things the manufacturer does not offer...and if you don't understand that, then it's questionable you have any interest in cars and that you've stumbled in to Pistonheads by mistake..

A misguided, immature, idiotic clown with zero understanding of mechanical engineering and an apparent desire to ignore the law / Enthusiast.
