i never knew they did a diesel mk4 GTI. i thought it was only part of the GT TDI spec? let alone an anniversary model!
My old 150bhp PD 1.9 Golf was badged as a GTI from new.

My wife adored that car.

I think that's about right to be fair. It's not like it's a £20k car like the old rs2000 posted earlier on is it!

To be fair that motor looks bang tidy.

Look at the under carriage.

chavved up trolley spec? It's a vti and there's nothing really chavved up about it. good wheels, most people put tints on. the carbon fiber roof is a little suspect but other then that it's a good looking car. i think the price is about right considering they sell for silly money these days anyway. If that was an ordinary 1.4i or something then it would be very overpriced.

The JDM 1.5 VTI (there was one - if this actually an example) is only @110bhp - and this one looks like a barrymobile and needs paintwork, £4k is dreaming IMHO. The vendors *NEW WEBSITE* is down too. Only around the corner from me though

The ride on these is so bad on urban roads not even Recaro seats can save your spine.

Bwhaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!

£25k! For a Mk4 TDI Golf!

Bwhahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
Lost for words.

If someone thinks "that's actually a pretty good looking car", here's one at a 80% discount....

Exactly.

I know it's not insanely over priced compared to other cars on this thread, but still for £4k you could get a nice original and newer example of a Type R in as good or better condition than this.

I know which I'd rather have.

Roughly 7.5 k to get it over here if you wanted the class-winner of 91/92 in that sector

i love the little charade gtti, always wanted one, test drove a few. i know they are rare but there is no market for them, especially a left hand drive version at this price (pretty sure it used to be £9k but it didn't sell at that so it went up). From memory it has been for sale for at least 3 years.

They had that mini-911 sound

In fact I remember a twin test in Motor where they compared a new one to an old 911. Both were rather tail happy on the limit

I think you're confusing this FWD hatch with the rear engined Skoda Rapid.

Nope, no confusion, the little Daihatsu was indeed fwd but had a tendency to be quite tail happy on the limit. Think it caught out Performance Car mag too on a group test
Was also definitely tested alongside an older 911 in Motor magazine

My mate is a trader.....

He is selling a Freelander and had someone come to look at it yesterday. The customers' swapper was a 96' Volvo 850 2.5 GLT Saloon with 100,000 on the clock and a good history. CAP valued the car around the £250-500 as a part exchange. When given this information the bloke got all angry and said that his car was worth at least £4000 because he had seen them for sale at this price on the internet.

The only response here is "Well Sir, I suggest you contact this internet chap and sell it to him" biggrin

Now I realise it is a Sahara, but you must really like 2CV's to be ready to pay the €120,000-€140,000 estimate for this one.
