Clearly not... and how can it be seriously over priced when there selling... if it were it wouldn't sell...! I orderd and placed a deposit on one nearly 2 years before launch but it was overwhelmingly sold out many times over i was told i was 96 on a list of 207...! Defiantly wrong thread...!
Isn't there two arguments here;

1. The car was overpriced in the first place and therefore some people think automatically it is worthy of this thread. In other words lets limit production to sell at £30k over premium from new.

and

2. The car posted her as an AUC is overpriced.

I'm not saying I agree with either of the above but the car does seem to be very divisive.

That's insane pricing. It looks like a bloated M3 to me.

It's priced at POA so I assume the £1m is just a figure to list it with.

Exactly Craig. Why are you gutted you had your deposit returned if that one isn't over priced?

£50k price hike over list, in his eyes it may not be "over priced" but maybe he's priced out? Shame you can't lease them as then I'd be able to afford one laugh

Perhaps the time isn't right now and the funds went elsewhere when the deposit was returned.

Simple really... because it's now over list to which i was happily prepared to pay but i personally won't pay overs out of principle... but plenty will and are doing, just remmber BMW recived over £27 million worth of orders for this car... Plus the fact the i8 now sits in that garage space...

Perhaps, but that looks a bit sloppy from a luxury car dealer

None of which means its not overpriced.

This whole thread is basically an opinion. There are far more here who agree with me it seems than you - 7 vs 2 in the last couple of pages in fact.

Anyway moving on...

That doesn't mean you're right though, does it?

No one is 'right'. As I said, this thread is opinions. More have the opinion that its overpriced than dont hence I think it deserves its place here.

Democracy innit smile

Demand..! Demand is what dictates prices..! 207 people in the UK alone placed deposits on this car of which only 30 were avalible..! And some are now prepared to pay over the list price to get there hands on one..! Demand...

The economic concept you are struggling to explain here is called consumer surplus.
