McLaren Senna at Donnington Park track day yesterday. I seem to recall that number plate as being on a few exotics over the years or am I mistaken?
It's funny how the Senna was slaughtered by many when launched due to the styling for max downforce on the track, but when the GT3RS pops up years later it was lauded for the similar styling principles. The Senna could yet end up like the hugely unloved F50...

God no.The F50 has a (loosely) competition-derived V12, and open-gate manual gearbox, and sounds utterly glorious. Doubly so without the roof
The Senna has no such claim, a flappy-paddle 'box and sounds like a vacuum cleaner being run through an amp. It's only appeal is pace, and (as many other supercars have found out in the past) there's always a quicker car around the corner.

I do like a Senna, I'd definitely have one in my dream garage! They appeal to my inner child who used to draw cars with crazy spoilers etc in the back of school booksDannyScene said:

You could get a GT3RS to satisfy your inner child, a 765LT, and still have change for a proper car.epom said:

Whilst there is still a decent following for manual, the tide is certainly turning.
Try offloading a manual 992 from an S to an GT3 and see how small the demand is; most OPCs, if they will even consider taking one in, shall seriously lowball you.
F50 glorious as an exhibit, and who has the spare 1.5hrs and manpower to take the roof off?
Years ago, F50's could be had for 5% of the current asking price as they were so unloved....nobody really raved about them.
As I say, the Senna could easily be similar with the name, looks and numbers.

Hi there,
Had a meeting yesterday and knew I would gel with the guy when I saw his car. What a great spec.

I agree, that's a cracking spec, I really like it Had a meeting yesterday and knew I would gel with the guy when I saw his car. What a great spec.

Unfortunately, my first impression would have differed from yours, seeing it in a disabled space without a blue badge. Huge gripe of mine.

i know the black bits are probably all achingly expensive options and most likely some special material, but it does look quite a lot like stuck on black plastic to me
All part of the 'dakar' look, unusual to see one in such a 'restrained' spec, usefully they are all mud, stickers and roof racks. raceboy said:
