I made 4.5k on my E46 M3, I bought it for £8k three years ago and in that time added 40,000 miles as a daily.

Sold on first viewing

Porsche 911 Sport Classic...£385k

Now I know they're a limited run, but when essentially the same car can be had in normal form for 1/10th the price....

Lottery win car, first on the list.
A normal 911 with fancy paint and wheels FIRST on the list?!
For that you could get a 997 4.0RS, or a 991R and a 997.2RS.

Stupid money.

It always seems odd you have to pay more for less with the RS versions!

Less?

Maybe less weight, but more power (different engine), better suspension, better brakes, better seats, plus cage etc (similar standard equipment, given things like AC and nav are delete options) .

Yep, sad isn't it. Though maybe if I had the money I could get the Ducktail fitted to a GT3? Hmmmmmm

Is it only the 356 Speedsters and 968 CS that Porsche historically has not applied this higher pricing model to? Can't think of many others - was the 911 3.2 CS more expensive than the standard Carrera?

£30K for Lotus Elise Sport 160? Granted, it's in very good condition and has only done 24,000 miles, but the asking price still seems a little steep to me ...
I'd argue it is a signal that the Elise is getting valued - in this current market - fairly. They have been underpriced for some time.
