Is it me or does this car look like a Hyundai? I can see many of them on the roads soon and will become as common as the new Hyundai Coupe.

Oh yeah, the whole of the UK is awash with those pesky hyundai coupes rolleyes

So what if it reaches the same level of market penetration that the celica did? Seems to me it'd mean a thriving second hand/used market wink

Where did I say it was a "pesky" car?

I'm just saying that its not got any 'classic' styling to it and I think it will depreciate badly.

You didn't, I took artistic license.

I guess the lack of classic styling is the same as people saying it doesnt have soul, i.e. it just means you don't like it?

No I like the car but some cars have an immediate 'wow' but then just as quickly become ordinary e.g. Hyundai Coupe, Audi TT, Any Ford/Vauxhall

Other cars look 'wow' and still maintain their elegance over a long period of time e.g. Toyota MR2 GT (MKII), Jaguar XK, Volvo P1800

I can imagine the confused looks on the faces of types who think an S-line Audi is the pinnacle of motoring.....
hehe
The was a big Audi that went past me the other day with what must have been "S11 NED" as the number plate - i.e. "S LINED"

Oh how I chuckled ;-)

An MG BGT for the 2010s. Nice to see some back to basics for a change but a matt black lower body would make it look even better.

Yes please.
For me the flaw in this plan is that you will lack aircon. If they would plumb that into the base car for an extra £500 then Houston we have a winner. No idea what it costs to do as an aftermarket job on one of these though. Drift scene and racers obviously won't care about the AC delete, but some of the modifiers may well do...?

WHY WOULD YOU DRIFT OR RACE THIS? IT'S EXPENSIVE AND WOEFULLY UNDER-POWERED...OH AND OVER-RATED.

With such a massive Japanese tuner market, this is a sound strategy.
Exactly - no one expects them to stay standard for long.
Why waste your money?

Are there any pictures of the back seats yet? I need to know urgently if a 5 and 8 year old will fit in them. And indeed a 10 and 13 year old in case I were to keep the car for 5 years! Adults can walk biggrin
