Just to stir things up a bit:

Its a UMM Alter.

A Portuguese utility vehicle that was made from the mid 60's through to the early 90's, initially only used for military service... later on sold to the general public. When i was a kid, an uncle of mine had one of these, on slightly raised suspension - it went most places!
Powered by a 2.5 litre Diesel engine that was produced by Peugeot. Not sure if that was a good thing, as i never drove one... but i recall it being pretty nippy!

Even a blind man could see the design flaw that killed that off.

Your mug of brew would slide straight off those wings.

Whilst fawning over some Kei cars this week, I stumbled over this.

Apparently, it's a rebadged Mazda Autozam-1 (which I was aware of) called the Suzuki Cara (which I wasn't aware of).
Never played Gran Turismo then? biglaugh

The VW Amorak, never knew these existed until one went past work at the weekend:

Great car, the most comfy pick-up i've ever tried.
Winner of the most under-wheeled vehicle ever.
Under wheeled... its a 4WD pickup. What were you expecting 22 inch spinners? This is the Highline too which has 18" wheels, mine, which is a Trendline has 17" wheels 65 profile so much better than 60...

Girlfriend's uncle has one, very odd thing. Noisy, smelly, not particularly fast (perhaps his driving). Interesting though.
I had a nose through the club newsletter once, it was slightly pitiful to be frank ("does anyone know what else I should write?") but good on them for keeping a tiny OC going

I remember those things. For some reason, I have it in my head that they're based on an old Landrover (109 or 110) chassis and underpinnings, although I might be remembering something else.

I saw a JBA Falcon the other day. The first I've ever seen and, as far as I can work out, it looks like a slightly ropy Morgan. Never knew such a thing existed!

Oddly enough, this was the actual car I saw:

Latest Astra Saloon

Saw one today with a foreign plate on it. Probably the best rendering of a modern compact saloon car around at the moment, but we as a nation just don't value them.....

There's a reason why BMW, Merc and Audi relegated the hatch versions of their cars to lower model numbers - the rest of the world perceive them as downmarket (and us as pey for preferring them).
