I've sat in the R8, a 2010 V10 with carbon interior. It was better than I expected but yea it's on a par with my current car and nothing special. I sat in a more recent 2014 V10 and that was a lot nicer though it probably had exclusive interior.
Never had the chance to see in the V12V but the interior is much the same as the normal vantage correct apart from the special seats? I've never sat inside a vantage either but agree with you interiors are important.
Slightly more space behind the seats if the 'carbon buckets' are specified. Aston feels like a more special place to be in my eyes (I might be slightly biassed as always loved Astons)Never had the chance to see in the V12V but the interior is much the same as the normal vantage correct apart from the special seats? R8 interior very much spec dependent.
Hope you find the right car

the box in yours is a derivative of the box used in a Ferrari F430 with Im guessing the updated/tweaked software so is bound to be miles better at least 10 years ahead of a 355 F1 box
MC shift in the MC Stradale is even better too ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
Isn't the gearbox straight from a 599 whereby the engine is the F136 with a cross plane crank, a derivative of the 430 engine![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Im assuming this is you just taking the mick over my lack of knowledge over a gearbox. Rather than take the Pi55 explain it otherwise don't bother with the smart remarks...Soupie69uk said:
If I didn't see it I would never have thought they'd come that low in price. I think I would have a very hard time not buying that and I'm not a huge 'new' Ferrari fan.MissChief said:

Back in your cage muppet. What part of that reads as a pi55 take. Jog on. Pratt
Perhaps I have misinterpreted what you said or what you were implying? (considering some of the responses before you).I think I have misread what you intended. you're basically saying that the gearbox is related to that in the 599? But the engine is related to that from the one in the f430?
I think I get what you mean now. I think I just read your comment when tired.
We had the same dilema recently -= £70-£75k budget, didnt need to be a daily driver bit have the option to be.
Looked at:
Gallardo - Too old now for the money and potential money pits
Fez 430 - As above
Aston - Meh
Maser - Nice, but just not fast enough
997 Gen II Tbo - Just sold a Gen I, so wanted something different
Sag - Still looking for one![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Ended up with a V10 R8 Spyder, and love it. Guy that owned it before me used it daily, i get in it, it starts, sounds lovely and goes like stink !

I owned a LHD car for a while in the UK. Absolutely hated it for the whole time, I'd never buy another. Some people like it, some can live with it, some hate it... certainly worth a try though, it's a lovely car.

Front plate would have to go, looks awful
Does LHD not put you off? Especially as a daily driver it would 100% put me off! It makes no difference to me whether it's left or right.

There are clear inconveniences that are only truly overcome by either being a desired car with no RHD option or the LHD version being a lot cheaper.
I really don't think that given an even option a single person would opt for LHD over RHD.

I don't know any American car owners who would.
