Hi John
I vaguely remember hearing that Leo Voyazides' Falcon was about as light as allowed - well under a tonne. LOVE that Mercury Comet!
We have a Falcon sprint too, that was racing at the 'ring last weekend too. Our Falcon doesnt use the glass wings at the moment but that will change over winter as it's had a hard time of it lately on all 4 corners. Leo's car is a stunning example, but it's not as light as you think. Ford were playing silly buggers with the homologation, it's imposible to get it down to the min weight without taking the engine out!I vaguely remember hearing that Leo Voyazides' Falcon was about as light as allowed - well under a tonne. Glad you like the Mercury, Spa was it's second running since we rebuilt it from a shell up, we had a couple of issues with the diff but will soon sort that out.

The GT40 spyder was found in a lock up last year, it was suposed to have been scrapped!
Is that the same one? must have been a bloody quick build up it was only the chassis that was found.I remember the story well it was during demolition works for the london olympics they discovered the chassis cut in bits in a lock up, supposably smuggled out of the factory to save it from destruction.
Last few from me today. Time for ...
These big open wheeled jobbies sounded the bees knees. Watching the drivers wrestle with the cars was hilarious as was the changing of the gears - on some cars the gear stick was outside...
...And some of the racing was very close...
Stumbled across this little gem in the pit area, no idea of what it is though. Was stupidly low to the ground - not even up to my hips...

Hi all,
Well got back late last night, just been looking through photos and posts on here. Great trip, fantastic weather as has been said, the ring was amazing and im hooked now keep thinking if I went better on this bend and that etc! Couldnt have asked for a better bunch of people to be on the trip with.
Hope you Poland trip was fun guys that went on there. Brugge was a very nice city with lots of kitch shops and things to see.
HAve got a few photos but not many, but in a folder here now, along with some cars I spotted on the ringcam site while looking for mine, appologies if your didnt get spotted. Also the incar vid of mine from my last lap is there. Not sure how the timing works for the quicktime programme but i crossed the bridge around 45 secs in and under the gantry at 9:47 so seems a reasonable lap? But like I say not sure if the time slips on the quicktime, but guess it shouldnt?
Thanks again to all for making the trip, although I saved fuel on the way home rather than our warp speed run out there!
going up in the world?
video not uploaded yet as its too big, anyone know what software can compress quicktime mov?

Hi All, I am the guy who was having a whale of a time in the Black XJS no. 44 in the Top Hat & BSSCC races @ Spa. I enjoyed my brief appearance in Phil's video, although I would have featured more if he had a rearward facing camera! If you have any pics of me, or my car, (the more sideways the better) can you let me have them, or post them up please, as I was rather busy? I was also in MG no 59 for the six hour race, the backup car for Daytona!
Good racing, Phil.
Thanks,
Cliff
