That's a good point, most BMWs look a bit lackluster in non-sport spec (E39, E46 etc) - be interesting to see what the Sport model will be like, with more aggressive bumpers, sills etcThe BMW shape responds well to more aggressive styling.
However, look at the E30, E32 and E34, they looked good even in basic guise!

Which pit of envy did you fish that one out from? Is an upper-mainstream saloon really so offensive, especially when many will be the basic model? As for the design it looks to my eye like a BMW, although happily less "Bangled" than the last 5-series which was IMO horrid.

Must be the fisheye lenses they use but i saw a new GT the other night and it just looked like any other BMW. Much though I was looking forward to pouring scorn and hatred on it, it was all I could do to raise a mild indifference. Balance can be restored in suburbia, the hype is nothing and the car is boring to look at.
