As you'll guess from my forum ID this isn't my car. A mate Bob hit a patch of diesel scratchchin and parked neatly at the side of the road.....

Theiving scumbag joyriders!

Shame they got so badly injured! The passanger had back injuries, the driver wasn't so lucky, I don't think he'll be driving for a while. Get well soon lads!

Tbh it wasn't that bad considering it was as good as 80mph into a car coming across me. Certainly spun the fiesta around and back the way it came. Wouldn't want to do it again though!

Just a reminder to be careful with pictures showing number plates and claims of speed, the insurance companies do trawl this forum.

I've got a couple but no pictures.

I watched an F40 get smashed up at Spa a few years ago. Apparently the last one ever off the production line. Not good to see in the paddock either.

Then I was in Mongolia and this happened

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAesLqWm5Hw.

I saw Laurance not long after it happened - surprisingly little damage to the crew.

Then Armin Schwarz smashed his car up also - chatted with him after the doctors saw to him. No lasting injuries.

Cheers

You're right. It's fking scary. You're barreling along at a rather quick pace and suddenly come across a ditch (metre deep, couple of metres wide) or a ridge which, well fks you up!

There isn't a lot you can do other than be on the ball...and even then it's easy to fk up (at one point 3 cars did the same thing in a similar scenario).

We were lucky and didn't have any accidents (that outing!)

Cheers

came over a blind crest to find a full arctic overtaking a tractor with 40' trailor up a hill.

hit a wall (my bad)

all within 2 years of each other - the two volvos were within 2 months. Not had a smash since, in 5 years/50,000 miles

Still trying to figure out how the hell I forgot about that bloody RSJ and promptly hit it frown. A lesson about observation learnt (and my wallet £1200 lighter frown)
