Almost certainly.
Nope I was just following the curve of an unfamiliar road and making sure I was well sighted to merge onto the motorway. Checked the mirror just prior to see the car behind pulling in, so I never even saw the Focus until he cut past both of us and the HGV

In fact a quick search of the offenders name shows that he is currently in prison serving 3 years for another car theft

That could so easily have been a serious injury if she'd just stepped out instead of looking

I liked the way you closed the gap and swerved to block them, that was great.

That reminds me of something I saw recently.

I don't have a dashcam, but one morning last week on my way to work at around 8:40am, and within a hundred metres or so of a junior school, I stopped at a zebra crossing on a main road for a lady with a pushchair.

As I was stationary, two cars and a van coming the other way just breezed straight through, luckily the lady was paying attention and carried on waiting.

And to break a stereotype, the first vehicle coming the other way that stopped at the crossing was a foreign HGV.

So you swerved to the right without looking in your right side mirror whilst doing so? Terrible observations.

A couple I've been bothered to put on YouTube.

Some prat in a focus ST, when confronted he literally couldn't care less that he tried to drive across my bonnet.

People that don't understand how to merge.

The camera stopped recording in your Focus ST clip, or you rolled down your window to call him a stupid winker? biggrin

Complete overreaction with that Focus ST. Slip behind him or overtake him and move on with your life. I just roll my eyes, do my manoeuvre and carry on.

It conveniently stopped at that point as part of a 5 minute video, I may of expressed my concern smile

Except that's not what happened at all, as I said I didn't see him until he was already passing me. Besides, with that sort of speed differential if I had tried to block him it would have ended in a nasty accident, and the chances of an old Focus driven like that being fully road legal are pretty slim. I have no interest in putting my safety at risk to prove a point.

As said before, bad observations. If it were a motorcyclist you'd have swung right into him.

Overreaction!?! I beeped my horn opened my window along side him, asked him what he was doing called him a prat and as you say drove on and got on with my life, I wouldn't of beeped my horn for so long if he had realised what he was doing and moved back over, but he continued to drive across the front of me, I was in an A8 at the time so even though it doesn't look close, due to the long bonnet he did pretty much attempt to swipe the side of me.

dramatic - no, pretty dull video

van went on yellow not green

cock has jumped the light but the van could have avoided accident by checking that the traffic had actually stopped at the other light before crossing its path, i guess they dont teach this now

What if the Nissan was a police car/ambulance going through the read light?

Nissan did do wrong by jumping the light, but van driver did go on amber and should have looked both ways.

If I was the insurer I would settle this 50/50.

I don't understand how the van managed to do that - no question the Nissan jumped the light, but does the van driver not look where he's going?
