Defiantly a 2cv, Pikes peaks version anyone?
Did you see the episode of top gear when they pushed one of those behind a jumbo, it literally disintegrated.

Not sure I'd fancy rattling up Pikes Peak in one. Plus they had those silly walking stick gear knobs on the dash board. What am I talking about, no one in their right mind would drive it period. biggrin

Looks decent, but can it get less un-original in terms of styling? Definitely not special in my eyes.

Not registered as a 1.8 either, I think I'd have gone with a KR or ABF or whatever they're called.

Spotted this gem in the most unfortunate section of the Classifieds - Boring Stuff...

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1318948.htm

Come on?...How on earth can this be boring? I even spotted that (PH'er owned) Passat sleeper with almost 470bhp in the same catogary as this one!

I call for a cool section in the classifieds for cars like these biggrin

Found this on the Barons Auction website link on SOTW:

"Offered here is a fully UK road legal 1969 Chevrolet Camaro show car, which was built by GAC Muscle Cars of Texas. The car has been built from the ground up using an original shell and virtually all new component parts. It has been equipped with a 540 cubic inch (8849cc) Big Block engine, producing around 700 bhp. The bodywork incorporates a number of modifications from original including shaving of the door handles and the fitting of remote door opening, via the alarm keyfob. The engine was built using all new components using a Dart Big M block, Dart Pro1 Aluminium heads, 10.5:1 competition pistons and much more. The engine is topped off with a pair of Edelbrock 4 barrel carbs and the whole engine and bay has been polished and detailed. The transmission is a Keisler Engineering TKO 600 5 Speed manual gearbox driving a GM 12 Bolt, Tony Smith built, 355 Positraction rear end. The underside is as clean as the top and it has fully chrome plated adjustable TCI rear anti-roll bar, polyurethane bushes, TCI four link with Panhard rod and TCI Multi-Adjustable aluminium coil-over shock absorbers with chrome springs.

The interior has leather racing seats and the rest of the interior trim and rear seat has been finished in matching leather. The dashboard is a custom item in carbon fibre with white face Equus gauges.

The car is also equipped with a comprehensive entertainment system including in-dash CD/DVD player with integrated satellite navigation. It was bought and imported into the UK in 2009 and has covered a mere 1,000 miles since it was built. It has a current MoT, is UK registered and taxed until July 2010. It comes complete with a folder of photographs showing the stages of the build."

I'd like to know if the "remote opening" is in addition to an otherwise located opening system - as I had great difficulty with one car I shaved the handles on, as to be road legal in the UK there must be a method of opening the doors from the outside of the car.

Looks like it has been expertly modified to remove any of the things that made the E30 so good.

Those wheels aren't the lightest, but I think the car looks amazing! A bit different from the BBS/Hartge/Alpina wheels usually seen on e30's!
