So that's why they plummeted in the JD Power surveys that year.

That surely has to be a LR Discovery but built for Honda?

A bit like my Crosser is an Outlander/4007 with a pretty nose!

Not sure what model it is, but in the last week riding around Germany and Austria I saw a lot of a Mercedes model that looked very much like a Subaru Forester.

You probably mean the GLK - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_GLK-Cl... - which was only left hand drive and has now been superseded by the GLC.

This is my third trip in and through Germany and it looks like a lovely place to live, I'm sure it has it's issues, but both my brother and I liked it very much.

No no no plenty of LR apologists will tell you straight that the only reason anybody ever said a bad thing about anything LR made is because they are mean and nasty liars. Not because they are utter st and always have been, no no no. hehe

Joking aside the lack of satisfaction international customers feel at their LR purchase, even when it comes with a Honda badge, does give truth to the lie about British people being down on them just because of some supposed bias against the home team.

I've lived here (Ludwigsburg, near Stuttgart) for three years, my wife is German and wanted to come home. I've had to completely learn a new language and train for a new career so I would not claim it is easy but life is pretty here.

I've seen a couple of these recently. At first I thought it was a dodgy attempt to make a 'BMW' pick up.

I was thinking of the soap opera set in a Brummie motel

But yeah. I've had some LR stuff (Disco 4 at the moment) and never any major problems. Plenty of people I know have been less lucky though and received regular massive bills, so I'm under no illusion as to their durability.

Chevrolet Orlando.

Followed one of these yesterday, and if it hadn't been for the odd central reversing/fog light which caught my attention (sad I know) I'd have ignored it as just another bland box for carrying sprogs around in.

Lol, my family car.... Had it 6 months now.
