An old ratty Mk2 Golf running a 20VT in it.

Job done and not too expensive either.
go one step further.

buy an old passat that looks like its been a minicab for a decade,

get TSR to repeat their S4 v6 bi-turbo conversion... bigger turbos, subtle fmic and with the 4x4 conversion, you'll be eating pretty much whatever you find...

but in all reality, this wins for me:

Skim read that build post last night. After deciphering the "txt spk", you uncover a pretty amazing project! This guy just pretty much makes everything himself! Manifold spacers, manifolds, exhausts, a few black boxes to make the ECU work - all fabricated with his own skills at home. Seriously clever and talented guy!

Sorry for going off topic everyone, but.

Russ are you really saying that the 'VOC haters' who stick to 'their little forum' are to blame for the crash? You really don't help yourself sometimes.

Com'on, you have to admit that is a silly statement. How can you not be sure that it wasn't a consequence of the dodgy PMs that were being sent by 'new' members?

For the sake of the car you have created, please remember you run a business and silly off the cuff comments like the above can put potenial customers off RT, let alone the Volvo Owners Club!

That was quick lol

not saying that at all but as y2blade says there is a gang of Voc haters thats fine life goes on we don't all like the same things as for people being put off our company i am sure people are not that narrow minded and can make there own minds up.

Your probably right about the dodgy pm's some people have too much time on there hands.

Holy thread revival!

Sorry for the poor iPhone picture!

This was at the ace cafe Honda meet on Saturday, a COMPLETELY STANDARD looking Ford Transit Connect, running MK1 Focus RS power, at 320bhp, through the front wheels, still on commercial wheels and tyres!

Silly fast and the exhaust note was the only giveaway!

E30's make good sleepers while at the same time actually being enjoyable to drive. It's amazing the variety of engines people manage to stuff into them but these are two of my favorites.

At the last Sunday Service at BMW world there where a couple of crazy engine swap Beemers, a, Red E30 3-Series Touring in mint condition with an M5 engine, i think it was a 3.8 straight six but i have seen 4.9 V8 conversions on youtube.
