Ohhh. Just love that. Fix the seat and drive it to the apocalypse.
It would have to be a slow moving apocalypse. The 280GE could only manage 93, and this is the 230! biggrin

(From What Car? from '85 - sadly no figure given for the 230GE )

No need to outrun the apocalypse in a g-wagon me thinks. However I would seriously love that, what's worse I'd want to pimp the hell out of it. What's wrong with me?

These drove very well back in the day. Lusty, tuneful, tidy handling saloon.

Needs duct tape though.
back in the day ????!

I still think of these as being a relatively new car! Jesus, I'm getting old! frown
hehe

I had a black one, the same colour as my hair at the time. So it really must have been back in the day.
The car in the picture has your name written on it, then smile.
Convertible next?

Only just discovered this thread. Worth a bookmark, I think. smile

Here's one to add to the list. Dolomite Sprint for a tempting £3,995.

I saw that this morning as I have always had a liking for these.

My opinion is that its a shiny turd.

Lots of waffle about sunroof and can't be bothered to fit a webasto. Also the roof is painted, not vinyl.

I smell trouble.

Quite possibly, not really a car I know much about, but they do look fun. There's was a subtly modded one on here a while back on Minilites and it looked great.

"How slow would this be?"

It would depend on how many of the 63 original ponies had escaped but I suspect in comparison to any modern car, glacial.
Factory weight for a 1.3L was 1010 kg

Book performance back in the day, from Autocar's road test, was 0-60 in 17.4 seconds I think, and a top speed just above 80 mph.

Probably at the very bottom right now, I would guess if you can get a lower mileage one you wouldn't lose a penny on one.

If there's a car at the outer fringes of "all of the places prices" at the moment it's got to be the Z3.

At one end of the spectrum there's the one that you've shown which would be a decent buy...but at the other end of the lunacy scale there's stuff like this:

I'm sorry...but £35,000 for that?!

I want a whole heap more metal than that for £35,000!
Wouldn't last long at the Edgebold roundabout Derin! laugh

We've seen this on the 1-5 thread, but it's too nice not to have a wider audience.
