So that now poses an interesting situation.. Lots of high end cars, with absolutely no market for them.
Of course there's room for a scam on top of all this, but I believe there's a genuine reason for a flood of cheap high end cars in Greece.
It would make no sense to try to sell them in the UK though - never mind them being LHD, the UK has just about the cheapest used car prices in the world.Of course there's room for a scam on top of all this, but I believe there's a genuine reason for a flood of cheap high end cars in Greece.

That's true and 2nd hand prices do hold up well in Greece on small engined vehicles but all the "heavy metal" down there has virtually no value now and owners are just happy to get rid and will almost give them away. I know a guy with a 4.8 e70 X5 he had from new. €100,000+ and after 2 years he took it off the road and put it in the dealers to sell. Last price I saw it at was below €20k.If you could ship enough to make the transport costs as low as possible per unit I think it could be a viable business.

I have absolutely no idea how feasible it is to import used cars into Germany/France from Greece, but a quick look shows similar cars there would be around €70K so it's amazing that people are doing it.If you could ship enough to make the transport costs as low as possible per unit I think it could be a viable business.
I realise that this is a very old thread but I bought a 2009 10,000 mile LHD Bentley Arnage Final Series from Nickolas Koutrouvelis at Exclusive Motors in 2015. The car had been UK registered by Bentley but, by then, was in Athens. I arranged an inspection at Bentley Athens, for which he picked up the bill, and then he arranged shipment to the UK. I ran it for six years and 30,000+ miles and sold it at a profit! So, just like to put the record straight and recount my own first-hand experience.
