Cars That Looked Best/Worst as an Estate
Discussion
A bit of cross-fertilisation from another thread.
The Cruze is (was) a bit of a minger in saloon/hatch form, but that looks half decent.

Bah! Someone beat me to posting the Austin Allegro. No wonder Leyland failed!
The fact that someone else has posted a car doesn't mean you can't enter into the best/worst debate, although I think I can presume your verdict on the Allegro estate from your comment This is why I was hoping this thread would have some longevity - it is not about posting the best/worst examples of estate cars. Every estate version of a car range is a candidate for this thread as it is only competing against its stablemates, and every car posted can divide opinion on where it sits in the ranks compared to saloon/hatch/coupe versions.
Incidentally - saw one of these on the road this morning..
The new 308 hatch looks like a box on wheels to my eyes, but Peugeot really are nailing the styling of their estate versions right now.

That looks a bit Mondeo(ish) at a glance. (to me anyway)
It does, but that is irrelevant. The point (again...!) is it looks better than the hatch.Ironically, IMO the SW version of the previous model 308 was by far the worst, the hatch version was minging too but the saloon was surprisingly striking (in a good way).
