Not entirely sure if that is classified as a barge. It's bloody cheap for a relatively new estate with a bit of class though!

My meagre offerings:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-166-V6-TIPTRONIC-AU... - Alfa 166.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-VOLVO-S80-T6-SE-GEA... - Volvo S80 T6. My dad is using one of these at the moment, he highly recommends it.

No interior photo or mention of leather but as it's got window winders in the back I should think it's poverty spec.

Fantastic, looks very tidy. The drive from there to any kind of civilisation will cost a fair percent of the purchase price in fuel, just as barge driving should be!

Ok, I've been lurking on this thread for too long, clearly is affecting my thinking...must stop reading. Seriously looking at old 7 series now. Failing that I might just chav it up and get something off retro rides.

Good news everyone! wink The £900 XJ passed its MOT today. 3 advisories: rear tyres which we knew about, handbrake, which is fixable and slight engine oil leak, which again, we knew about.

Woo, and indeed, hoo! bounce

Looking good on it too Ace!

Proper barge colour that too. A mate bought one almost identical last year & I had a good waft in it - lovely old thing.

If you wanted to get a few more miles out of it you could fit a smaller tank from something else in the boot.

The £650 W140 S280 that I bought last week has successfully completed the 1500 miles or so round Scotland that I bought it for. Same price as a hire car and anything extra now is a bit of a bonus.

To be fair to it, it did it with ease and without any hint of a problem - and long may that continue. Although its only the baby 280 its still incredibly smooth and certainly powerful enough as to not embarrass itself. smile
Your line "feels like I've stolen it" when you picked it up was a classic.
