Chelfing Automotive?

Anyway, a little bit of legwork suggests that they have a chap called Mark Carbery working for them: former head of communications at Daewoo...

Eterniti sell a real car to a real person? That'll be the Daewoo.

'Hermera'? It sounds like Thundercats' Downs afflicted cousin.

Sounds like one of those teams from The Apprentice. Is this a task from Lord Allen for the filming of the latest series?

"Luxury SUVs are a multi million pound market. I want you to design & develop, in the next two days, a new SUV and have a running prototype by end of play Thursday. You will advertise your cars on the website and will take deposits. The team that takes the most deposits wins, the team that doesn't loses and of that team, one of you will be fired... Off you go"

*** MAD PANIC ENSUES ***

Dappy city-girl who's a bit fit but ultimately bloody annoying: "What's an SUV? Is it some kind of air-plane or something? A motorbike?"

Their head of communications used to be in charge of Daewoo PR in the UK…hmmmm
I wonder if they will be giving away TV's and dishwashers and servicing by Halfords…smile

Did some digging and it doesn't sound like a no-hoper. Pretty big Chinese company behind it, with links to motorsport - http://www.carbuzz.co.uk/blog/post/Eterniti-Motors...
All sounds a bit like one of the challenges for the next series of the Apprentice:

This weeks task is to make up a load of razzmatazz about a warmed over German SUV, produce a news release for the car media and a dramatic video, hook up a few punters (who won't actually have to part with any hard-earned) and then the big lass who runs a footy club and the grumpy old codger will tell you how well you did. Now here's £250.00, I want to see a profit, now scarper...

EDIT - seems I'm not the only one! @LewisR

It's actually the tyre and exhaust place around the back!

Linked to several old companies 'closed' over the last decade and this one is also known as:

http://www.revozport.com/revoRT/index.html

Carbon fibre add ons for other peoples base cars etc.

The only real listed employee is a former technician at Foskers and Maranello.

It actually makes Acura & Infiniti sound vaguely credible names.

It's probably some sort of Asian revenge for my invention of the Ppinggpponngg Lalala as the archetypal far-eastern stbox.

Why is there so much negativity in this thread? What is it about the news of a new British car brand that gets people into such a flurry of hate? Where is the support for the people who are just trying to get off their ass and do something?

Not the best name I would agree, and of course, the concept sketch is just that and I expect the final will not have cartoon proportions. But, fair play to them I say. This country needs to produce more stuff and I'm sure they may struggle to begin with but if they get through the first few years they may well do ok. There is always a market for luxury products, I'm sure a luxury British SUV would sell heaps in China to name but one place.

I think the main issue is that it's a 'brand' first and foremost, but it's not the bespoke vehicle they claim it is, rather, they're a glorified tarting-up service based in a garage behind a pub in Stevenage.

To my mind a bloke in a shed building a kit car has more right to call himself a car company that what this looks like.

I'd agree with that, build a good product and the brand image will grow with it, don't try and build a brand and then bullst the products value.
