any of the first three for me please
Perfect garage? 1 of each. Actually hold on, that's greedy. I'll forgo the 3.0 and just have 3.3 onwards, to avoid any accusations of gluttony =)I know that the 911 has it's fair share of detractors, but those "evolution" line ups really prove that the original design of the car has been very cleverly updated to cover modern crash tests, pedestrian safety, "feature bloat" etc without losing much of the original asthetic. Not only that, but in every single case, 150k mile examples are to be found still running around all over the shop, despite the supercar performance of the 911 turbo. If only the same longevity could be found in the italians, eh?*
Then i'd have an italian, obviously. With annual services at 350 squid, thanks.

yellow dot on the interior door opener of that 911 Turbo pic......
isn't it all about "happiness" and positive memories when you see those little yellow dots....
Definitely a very sexy car. There's probably a perfectly normal reason for those yellow dots...

1st looks like 3.0 non intercooled, 2nd the later 3.3 with intercooler (in the spoiler)
...I thought everyone knew that. Maybe I'm just showing my age, or beard. Um, under the spoiler..?

Yes, the intercooler made the taller, "tea tray" spoiler neccessary, replacing the "whale tail" of the 3.0.
I've never heard of the first one being called a whale tail whilst the updated version on the 3.3, a tea tray spoiler. I've always just called either one, a whale tail, but I can see why they would be named differently as the 3.0 tail does indeed look more like that of a whale. Either way, it is sadly missed from the newer models.Maybe it's just because I never liked the idea of calling the latter a "tea tray" as it doesn't sound very cool.

1st and 2nd are the same, no?
Wanted a 964 for years and noticed the other night if I sold both my cars I could probably get one. Should I realise the dream do you think? Or wait 4 years and treat myself for my 40th??

The 993 was perfect.
and still is!one of the best cars porsche have ever made!
The 993T was/is great, but it lacks the really scary nature of the prior 2wd cars...until the 993GT2 came along

Anyone else think it just gets worse/blander the newer it gets.
It starts out with short overhangs, and distinctive, and well proportioned, and ends up looking like someones bought a Toyota Supra and stuck on a bodykit...
Me, I'd have one of the first two...........
The basic siloette remains the same, but I agree the dimensions have changed a lot. The brand new one launched this week is even bigger. I think they have added something like 100mm tooth wheel base and it really does show.
