The old man had Cheng Shin things on his ex-Met R80/7; I think they were called Supergrip Mileage or some rubbish, but despite the pattern being a straight rip off of the metzeler me33 they were made out of recycled hockey pucks and if it rained you couldn't lean over. At all. On the plus side they were very hard wearing, which was nice.

Mate of mine renowned for his tight-fisted tendencies once bought some Polish Stomil tyres.
Apparently "stomil" is Polish for "a hundred miles", which doesn't give you much faith in their durability...
Still going under the debica name after some serious problems with distortion at speed Apparently "stomil" is Polish for "a hundred miles", which doesn't give you much faith in their durability...
Always thought Goodyear excellence was a pony name decent enough tyre though

Gajah tungaul (shortened to gt radial on some) <snip> accleras all chinese ditch finders !
GT and Accelera are Indonesian, and receive technology and R&D information from Michelin and Continental respectively in exchange for access to all those rubber plantations. GiTi on the other hand are a Chinese offshot of Gajah Tungaul.Oh, and 'Monza' tyres are Courier Monza aka Pirelli.
Best comedy name - Sunfull!
