Is it me, or does the background music in the vid sound like a tacky porn movie? Not that I know about these things, of course
Top review again, Chris and the team
Yep! I think drive really need to look at their music choices. It's rubbish! And really they should stop looking at royalty free free music in soundtrack porn and spend a few bucks on a young and willing composer. They do say that 50% of the movie is sound!Top review again, Chris and the team
Loving the car!
I don't know what it is about Mercedes, what they make what are clearly very good, interesting cars, plenty of machinery for petrolheads, enthusiasts etc but... They just do nothing for me. I'm not gonna do the usual PH posters they're rubbish, a fail, they should be doing this, building that... They are clearly not rubbish and Mercedes do go for it but they just don't do fire me up. Not one in my fantasy garage.

lovely looking car, never really been sold on Merc interiors though.... i dont know why, its just the one thing that always makes me prefer the Audi equivalent (even though there isn't one for this)
personally if i were to get a Mercedes, it would be the E63 for me instead of this

Wow what a great looking car! Now I'm only 29 and don't have kids or a dog so I'm not exactly target market...but I do have friends and a mountain bike and I can imagine a hoon down to the French Alps would be a blast in this. But what if I wanted to do the same in the winter, with my snowboard and bunch of mates, or it rained the whole way there and back? I certainly don't have the talent to use that power on greasy alpine roads.
I can't afford one of these so I'm speaking as an 'outsider' but please can someone who can, explain why they would choose this over something like an RS6 Avant or Cayenne Turbo (something with 4WD to exploit the power and provide year round useability)? Is it case of this being the latest thing to have or am I missing the point completely?

Trust me, 4WD, especially in an Audi, does not automatically mean more fun... I should know, I have a TTS, light, plenty of power, Quattro, IMO looks great, well built but it's not very involving. Yeah it's fast and goes found corners but there not much real fun to be had unless simply getting there fast gets you off. If I could run a V8 M3, that would be my weapon of choice... If I had to leave it at home for what a week of proper snow, so be it. A 40min walk to work is no bother. Obviously we all have our priorities and depending where you live in the country, winter weather conditions etc 4WD just makes sense. It always makes laugh when people come on here about powerful RWD cars, rain and 4WD is sooo much safer as though Bimmers and Merc drivers would be mad to take to the roads unless they are bone dry otherwise they'll spin off at the first corner. Some people (like me) may not chose the Merc simply because they don't like them. Clearly not rubbish but I've never liked their interiors and to me, as mentioned by other, the more mature gentleman's chariot.
