It isnt really a hybrid like the prius.
The E-Engines are only used to give him a faster
acceleration.
No one drives slow with these car.
A real priuslike hybridtransmission isnt logic
for these car include the ferrari used start-stop technology.
Good for smarts and prius, not for limited numbers build supercars.

whichever way you look at it...headline figures of up to 580bhp, 627lbft and 92mpg are just amazing. ridiculous even.
gotta applaud really!
This is one of the very few cars where I will say the combined cycle figures don't even come close to representing what the car will do when used in the real world. It looks like the electric battery is fully charged before the test, and empties near the end. So the figure would only apply if you stopped every 11km and recharged.

Looks fantastic but at 1660kg what's the point offering an option to save 35kg?!?

Imagine how good this could have been with a Turbo V8, a manual box and weighing half a ton less.

Or even better an N/A engine and a manual box

Amazing piece of engineering. Don't like the centre console though - looks like a giant mobile phone.

Very nice indeed.

The centre console looks very Bang and Olufsen.

Why does it auger well for fuel efficient supercars? The EC figure is totally meaningless, is misleading and needs to be scrapped. You'd think Fiat's twin air engine would lead to fuel efficient small hatchbacks, but despite its EC figures from what I have read it does worse than normal engines in real world driving.

Seriously, it is time for an overhaul, especially seeing as the figure is linked to tax.

"Looks are subjective"? In this case anyone who doesn't think that looks incredible is simply mistaken, and will be obliged at some point to admit their mistake.

OOooooooo...

Now I know I just said the Jag was nice, but this is 'NICE' on a whole new level.

However I still believe if you put Martini graphics on a Donkey it would look like a Racehorse!

It does make you wonder just how much manufacturers treat the MPG and CO2 tests as a game.

I suspect they tread a fine line between inflating the figures to suit and not pushing their luck so much that the tests are made too difficult. Where you have an ultra low volume car like this, Porsche have seemingly thought "sod it" and taken the piss to the maximum extent.

If you're charged a fine on every g/km CO2 emitted in the test above your allocated average for your total production output, then you'll be taking the 'game' of working the system to your advantage very seriously.

CO2-related taxes should be levied on fuel, and fuel alone, if actually being efficient with resources is the goal rather than window dressing and pointless points scoring.

The P1 and Enzo successor (even though we haven't seen it yet) make this Porsche seem almost obsolete before it even comes out. Dear oh dear...

Technically, it's sounds very interesting and no one would argue with the performance figures.

Am I the only one, though, that thinks this car looks like a scaled up Boxster?!

Love where the exhausts are, but I can't get excited about this compared to the new Mclaren and the Enzo successor.
