Sorry for being pedantic but shouldn't it be 'SHOOTING BREAK' and not 'shooting brake'??? Surely the purpose of this vehicle is for toffs to load up the extra luggage area with guns and go hunt some foxes in their spare time, hence the name, no?
Erm ,no http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting-brakeHTH

Great scott, a non-fugly panemerra. That's a novel idea. That thing deserves a PH artical to itself surely.
Absolutely! First Panamera I've seen and actually wanted. Well done Porsche - you've managed to successfully polish a visual turd! This photo is a clever arty photo of a blinged motor which could only be successfully driven from Alderley Edge to the car park at Old Trafford.

Evo, Car, Autocar, Fifth Gear and Top Gear as far as I have read all rate the Panamera as one of the best, if not, the best drivers car they have driven in the class. You may not like the styling or indeed, you may not like the people you think drive them, but to dismiss the Panamera as a footballers wife special is a little uninformed isn't it?JTJ said:

If nothing else, that car makes me a bigger fan of the 997 - the new headlamps look a bit crap.
+1That car, in that colour and with those wheels just looks so right. I'd dearly love to have the cash to own one - knowing as I do that I'd seldom have the time to use it.

The only good thing about it is that the 991 will push down 997 prices Dapster said:

Had kind of a raspy growl, that reminded me of a rally car for some reason.
Considering the performance increases of the "vanilla" 991s over their 997 counterparts, the inevitable GT3, GT3RS, & GT2 should be epic!
Considering the 997 GT2RS accomplished 0-60 in 2.5s, the thought of a 991 GT2RS is staggering. They can't possibly make it much quicker?
As for the Panamera Shooting Brake, I think it looks stunning! The headlights are a bit fussy (would be remedied on the production version), but they've totally fixed the back end. Porsche really should replace the current Panamera range with this body style; a much more elegant & cohesive design.
